I know you probably think I’m crazy. The fact that you’re likely melting every single time you step outside is enough to make me sound a bit nuts. Well, the truth is that before you know it, winter will be here. Yes, it’s coming and I’m one of those people that do nothing other than prepares for the absolute worst.
Sure, I hope for the best but preparation is 99% of it. That holds true especially when it comes to your skin. This is one of the many reasons why I start prepping early and I waste no time in putting forth the effort to make sure my skin holds up during the seasonal transition phase.

Winter Is Coming, So Try These Skin Care Techniques
This will be the clearest and concise set of tips that I ever give when it comes to caring for your skin during the miserable winter months. It’s so easy to forget things or make silly mistakes that end up destroying your skin for the season. Fear not, I’m going to help you avoid all that nonsense. Just keep reading and take action on what I say you must do.
Adopt All In One
As winter creeps upon us, you’ll want to reduce the number of times you wash your skin. All that rinsing and repeating can dry things out pretty quickly. Which is why I suggest finding a product that can both cleanse and hydrate your skin at the same time. The best option for you is to find a facial mask that can cleanse, hydrate, and detox your skin. After a long day at the office, you’ll be too tired to rinse and wash ten times. Which is why you’re better of killing two birds with one stone here.
Daily Serum Time
Assuming that you’re all about getting the most antioxidants that money can buy, I’m sure you are already incorporating a serum into your routine. If not, you need to find one asap. Don’t just look for any old serum though, you want to find one that has loads of antioxidants in it. The reason it’s so important to incorporate serums with antioxidants is that they fight off free radicals and really help re-energize your skin. Once summer is over, you’ll need the extra boost, trust me.
Keep The Tempo On Point
What I mean by that is you’ve got to keep the water temperature pretty stable throughout the winter months. Sure, you’ll want to crank the hot water up to the point where it’s practically scalding but that’s not going to do your skin any good. If anything, doing that will completely dry your skin out and you’ll look ashy as can be. The only way around this is to keep the temperature down and to apply a nice moisturizer after you shower.
Beauty Sleep Is Crucial During The Winter
I’m not going to lie, most of us just look and feel worse during the winter months. It’s a known fact that this happens and when it does, the only thing that you can count on helping without a doubt is sleep. If you are not sleeping a minimum of eight hours every night, then you’re selling your skin short. If you’re getting adequate rest days, then why not step your game up even further by adding some essential oils. This about incorporating some argan oil as well as some rosehip oil before bed. Apply these with a nice moisturizer and you are good to go.
Drink Lots of Water
It’s easy to get dehydrated during the winter months and since we are not hot, we tend to drink less water. You’ve got to up your water consumption if you want to keep your skin looking great. The best way to do this is to consume an extra glass of water between meals and before meals. This ensures that you’re getting plenty of liquids throughout the day!
Now, don’t tell me that I didn’t warn you. I know most of you will likely read this, grab your flip flops, floaties, and pina colada then hit the pool. Well, it’ll all be over before you know it. Be prepared and you’ll be a lot happier.
