An Explanation of CoolSculpting

The best way to define CoolSculpting is to make it as simple as possible so that everyone understands the process. Simply put, this noninvasive procedure utilizes a device to freeze unwanted fat cells so that they practically melt off of the human body. By freezing the cells, a process is initiated that will cause these cells to eventually die off and gradually become eliminated for good. After two months of getting this procedure, these fat cells that you no longer want will completely disappear.

Coolsculpting Machine
This is what the machine looks like.

The Russian people discovered in the 1970s that extreme cold had the ability to alter fat cells so that they die often disappear. This process of CoolSculpting was formulated because Russian scientists noticed that the children in their community all had gaunt cheeks. Their cheeks were very thin because they enjoyed sucking on frozen popsicles. These healthy children lost their chubby cheeks and the only explanation was the freezing popsicles.

After recognizing the value of this incredible find, medical professionals and scientists took it upon themselves to analyze this incredible information that they had learned from young Russian children. Fat freezing developed serious attention after this, and testing and research was undergone so that the medical profession could utilize this natural process to help individuals burn their unwanted fat.

During this research phase, the CoolSculpting machine was eventually developed and tweaked so that it performed consistently. After many tests, doctors have determined that it is an effective and safe way to eliminate minor fat stores that needlessly accumulate on stubborn parts of the body.

The CoolSculpting Process and What It Entails

The CoolSculpting process is quite unique. It utilizes an applicator in the shape of a paddle. This paddle is then attached to a hose. The doctor will either use a large paddle or a small paddle, and this all depends upon how much fat must get frozen so that it can finally melt away. This device is used to apply the freezing temperatures to the body fat that the patient wants to eliminate.

The coolsculpting applicator
Here is the applicator in action.

With each sized paddle, the device will contain two panels that have 3000 sensor pads on each of them. Before placing the paddles on the area of the body being treated, the doctor will place a gel pad over the skin to help protect it from harm during the freezing process. Once the pad has been put into place, the doctor will then apply the device to the area being treated. At this point, the device is turned on so that it can begin doing its work. Once the device is turned on, the applicator is used to lift up the fat cells between the two panels so that the freezing process can take place. The treatment lasts about an hour, and the unwanted fat cells will stay in the device for the entire time that the treatment lasts.

After the hour long treatment has finished, one of the medical practitioners will begin massaging the treated area of the skin after the device is removed. This person will massage the area for a few moments in order to restore regular blood flow to the treated skin.

No one should feel surprised to discover that the skin will be tender upon completion of the freezing process. Unfortunately, there are other potential side effects that include stinging and cramping of the skin. Plus, the treated skin can temporarily experience whitening or reddening and a feeling of stiffness.

Now that everything has been accomplished that the doctor set out to do, the patient is free to leave and begin living his or her normal life. Since the side effects are only temporary, please realize that the mild discomfort will start to go away and will disappear entirely in a matter of days.
