Winter, spring, summer, or fall, the season doesn’t matter. What does matter is the fact that your hair looks fabulous as possible and that you’re actually putting in the effort to maintain it. When we think of our skin, we often forget that our hair is so closely related. I honestly didn’t know where to begin when my hair started looking like crap.
I know it might seem hard to believe now that it looks damn near flawless. That’s all due to the work that I’ve put in over the years. If you’re looking to strut your stuff and keep that hairy looking fresh as perfect, then you’ve got to start taking some of the supplements that I’ve mentioned below.
Hair Supplements That You Need In Your Life
Assuming you don’t want to look like you haven’t washed your hair in days, then you need to treat it right. If you’re trying to maintain that dread head look, then you might as well not waste your time reading this article. I’ve got nothing to share with that type of person.
But wait a minute:
If you’re looking to kick things up a notch and make your hair speak volumes (runway model status), then pay close attention to what I’m about to share with you.
Now, before I get too deep into the supplements, I want you to understand that you don’t necessarily need these in supplement form. So long as you’re getting an adequate amount of each, then you’re good to go. Back biotin talk, this is a vitamin B which can be conveniently round in peanut butter as well as bananas. NOM NOM NOM NOM.
If you’ve got a biotin deficiency then chances are your hair, skin, digestive tract and even your nerves are suffering. A lack of biotin will likely cause the health of your hair to diminish. Be sure to get the recommended daily intake of biotin which is 3mg.

Next on the list are the omega 3 EFAs. You’ll want to make sure you are taking an EFA supplement or eating enough salmon. The fatty acids in the fish and supplement will make your hair scream with joy. Not really, but your hair will def look shinier if you step up your omega-3 fish oil game. The recommended daily dose is 500 mg so be sure that you’re getting that one way or another.
This is a supplement that we take when we’re sick. It’s used for other reasons aside from that though. Let’s assume that you’re deficient in zinc. Then you are more likely to have to deal with dandruff and loss of hair. Sounds like the perfect treat for any girl right? WRONG! Take some zinc if you want to keep your hair. It has been known to promote tissue growth as well as cell reproduction. Both of those things play a prominent role in maintaining healthy hair follicles. If you’re not eating eggs, chicken, or seafood, start now!
This is a supplement that you absolutely need in your life if you want to fight off the free radicals that cause damage. Fighting off the damages will help make your hair thicker and as an added bonus, your skin will have fewer lines. Get yourself some vitamin E pills or start working in some avocado into your diet.
Full disclosure, I love avocados and eat WAY TOO MUCH guacamole. I also make sure I get an adequate amount of each vitamin and mineral mentioned above. You should too!
