This isn’t the first time that I’m covering a product made by VI Aesthetics. Not to long ago I went ahead and published a review of the VI Peel. You can read that review by clicking here. Today I’ll be covering another product that this company manufactures known as VI Derm. This product line is not to be confused with the first line mentioned. Sure, it’s made by the same company but they both do different things.
The VI Peel is a product that was created by Dr. Abdala Khalil in an attempt to create a pain-free chemical peel that his daughter could use regularly. The product became increasingly popular and not long after, the company VI Aesthetics was founded. Both Dr. Khalil and his daughter are responsible for establishing the company.
As success grew, the company began to introduce more products. That’s when the VI Derm line was born. This particular skin care line is one that’s available over the counter and does not require any special prescription or permission to purchase. It’s an anti aging product that you can find just about anywhere. Assuming you’re looking for something that’s not tested on any animals and it completely paraben free, then you’ve gotten lucky I guess!
Now, without sounding like a pessimist, before you decide to use VI Derm on your skin, you’re going to want to thoroughly research the ingredients involved as well as read any reviews out there that you can find. I’d also like to suggest that you connect with your local dermatologist and ask their opinion prior to using as well.
More About The VI Derm Line
Before getting into the specifics of each product, let me share what I know about the VI Derm line. For starters, I can tell you that they’ve currently got 14 products available for purchase that exist within the product line. You’ll find them broken down on the website categorically as essentials, enhancements, treatments, and body care. Within those categories are various types of products such as sunscreen, vitamin C gel, eye cream, body wash, body lotion, acne treatment and more.
Each of these products is meant to perform different actions and treat specific ailments. However, if you take a closer look at the products within the line, you’ll quickly realize that they all have some sort of exfoliating and repairing ingredients within each of them. It’s all through the use of antioxidants too. Let’s take a closer look at some of the products so you better understand how each work.
Getting Inside The Product – The Ingredients
The VI Derm product line incorporates various ingredients in each of the products. You’ll find that many different ingredients are used from product to product but one thing they all pretty much have in common is the use of antioxidants. Before you go experimenting with these ingredients and using these products, I suggest you follow up with a dermatologist or skin specialist before taking any action. I’ll do my best to cover some of the products and the ingredients within each of them. However, this advise is not considered to be medical advise. It’s merely research from a consumer.
Eye Cream – VI Derm manufactures an eye cream that’s meant to help reduce the signs of aging. It’s said to help reduce puffy eye appearance and any dark circles that exist. The product is completely paraben free as well as sulfate free. It’s made from a “peptide-rich” formula that incorporates the use of a few trademarked ingredients. You’ll find Eyeseryl, Syn-Coll, Haloxyl, and hyaluronic acid within this eye treatment product. Each of these ingredients does different things for the skin. One reduces swelling in puffy eyes. Another reduces wrinkles and firms skin. The Haloxyl helps reduce pigment and lighten the under eye region and the hyaluronic acid helps you retain moisture. For a full list of ingredients within the product, you’ll need to check out the official website.
Vitamin C Gel – Moving right along, you’ll notice that they also have a popular vitamin C gel which the company manufactures. This product was created to help repair skin that’s been damaged over the years due to too much sun exposure. The product is full on antioxidants which play a prominent role in any skin care regimen. All the free radical buildup does a real number on your skin.
Many of the sunscreens available today cannot completely protect your skin from UV ray exposure. This is where the vitamin C gel comes into play. Many consumers use this on a daily basis by applying it to their hands, face, and other areas of the body. The vitamin C gel may work to reduce the damage that you’ve had on your skin and will likely help to repair it if used properly.
Complete Care Cream (Acne Prone Skin) – The Complete Care Cream for acne prone skin is a very popular product amongst many the VI Derm sells. The purpose of using this product is to better control the growth of bacteria and combat acne before it gets worse. You’ll find that the formula contains lots of antioxidants and is 100% sulfate free as well as paraben free.
Many VI Derm advocates and consumers apply this daily in order to unclog pores, reduce inflammation, remove oil, exfoliate your skin, and kill bacteria. The list of ingredients in this product is quite long. However, I’ll do my best to cover them all. You’ll find benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid, coffee berry, azelaic acid, green tea, salicylic acid, vitamin A and many other ingredients within the product.
Body Lotion – Another popular product is the VI Derm exfoliating body lotion. This is a body wash formula that contains lots of antioxidants which are able to penetrate the skin in order to exfoliate, brighten, and moisturize. It’s a safe product for anyone to use no matter what type of skin you have. The product contains ingredients such as vitamin C, vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5, and glycolic acid. Again, if you’re looking for a full list of ingredients, you’ll want to check out the website for a full list of ingredients.
If you do a quick search online, you’ll find a number of third-party reviews which have been written. There are product reviews that people have left on Amazon.com as well as Dermstore.com. You can find some other product reviews on private beauty blogs as well if you look hard enough.
Based on what I’ve read, it seems like most of the reviews are positive. Dermstore gives it a 5.0 out of 5.0 rating and the Amazon.com review is a 4.2 out of 5.0. Not bad considering the number of terrible skin products out there today.
Buying The Products
If you head on over to the official company website, you’ll be able to purchase all the products right there. Each product is also available on Amazon.com if you’d rather buy them through a major retail distributor.
