Most people are familiar with who he is, but for those that aren’t, he’s a famous fashion model and actor. For a guy in his mid-40s, he looks young and has good skin. That’s something that most men in their 40s can’t say. While there are plenty of things that we can learn from Tyson Beckford, skin care, and healthy living are two that come to mind. He has a few tricks up his sleeve that solidify the importance of putting your health before anything.

Simple Skin Care Tips From Tyson Beckford

The famous model met with one of the folks over at Essence magazine during a party at Mohegan Sun. He had a few things to share with them that really resonated with me. For starters, Tyson is all about taking care of his skin and staying healthy. One thing that he doesn’t do often is drink alcohol. He typically only drinks during celebrations or at parties. It’s just not part of his daily routine. That’s something that I’ve mentioned in the past. Alcohol can really destroy your body and skin. It’s just not that good for you. In fact, there’s nothing about it that’s actually good for your body.

Tyson Beckford has one skin care secret that he swears by, it’s the use of moisturizer and lots of it. He’s got some favorite brands that he uses. He seems to be a big fan of Kiehl’s as well as Nivea.

Now, with the winter season right around the corner, he likes to resort to thick formulas to help protect his skin. Believe it or not, Tyson said, “For every season it’s a different product. During the winter, I coat myself with Vaseline and Palmer’s Cocoa Butter. It’s a whole routine.”

During the conversation, Tyson Beckford stated that he probably had more skin care products in his bathroom than most of the women in society today. I believe that since he’s a professional model and gets paid to look good. It makes complete sense that he’d take better care of his skin than most women. After all, that’s his job.

The 45-year-old is all about investing in your skin and body. He says it’s, “basically the best thing you can do.” I’ve got to say that I completely agree with him.
