The weekend is over and it’s time to kick things back into work mode. Assuming that you beat up your body and skin like so many people do in the world today, then chances are you’ve got your work cut out for you. All those late nights at the club, the lack of sleep, excessive bloody mary and mimosas, they all play a role in your skin condition. Unfortunately for you it most often leads to dull looking skin.
Have you been dealing with this so often that every Monday seems like Groundhog Day? If so, then you’ll appreciate some of the things that I’m about to mention to you. The aftermath or binge eating, drinking, and basking in the sun (if living in South Florida) is a tough pill to swallow.
Good news for you is that we’ve got a couple quick fixes for you to consider now that the weekend is completely over.
How To Whip Your Skin Back Into Shape Before Next Weekend
Here is what you need to know when dealing with the aftermath of a weekend binge run. Assuming that you’ve done a lot of eating this past weekend and your diet consisted of a ton of sugar and grease, then your skin likely looks really yellow and extra puffy, then it’s time for you to start fueling your skin with the much-needed vitamins and minerals.
My suggestion is to start by putting a halt to any bad foods. If you’re eating fast food like Burger King, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell, then you must stop immediately. Replace those foods with healthier options that contain loads of vitamin C, antioxidants, vitamin E, and more.
Now, assuming that your skin is so inflamed and broken out that you can easily notice the issues, here’s what you need to know. The most important thing to do is to not squeeze spots on your face. Don’t ignore this advice – please. Instead, if you’re going to touch your face, be sure that you’ve washed your hands thoroughly before doing so.
Another thing that you should consider doing is consuming probiotics. I personally prefer taking a supplement as well as consuming Dannon Activia just to push things along even quicker. Your gut contains a lot of bacteria and taking probiotics can help control things from the inside out.
The next thing that I suggest doing is not going overboard with the skin routine treatments. For example, if you’ve got issues with breakouts, exfoliating daily isn’t going to help you. Excessive exfoliation is actually bad as it can really do more harm than good. The act of exfoliating can strip your skin and even the good bacteria that reside on the surface.
The last tip I have is to simply be educated. So many people have bad skin due to a lack of knowledge or neglecting education. I can’t stress enough how bad this is for your skin. Personally, I find it crucial to know about ingredients and what they can do for you. Not knowing can be the downfall of your skin.
Should you decide to take into consideration all of these things, then you should be well on your way to skin recovery before next Friday’s happy hour! Lucky you! While I hate to end on a downer note, I’m going to do so anyway. If you’re thinking about getting blasted again and starting the vicious cycle of beating up your skin and body, you’re only going to be hurting yourself.
Remember how awful you feel today when looking in the mirror and just how bad your sin and body feels after abusing it for days. That’s a feeling you never want to forget because it will keep you on the right track the following weekend. Trust me, none of that is worth it!
