Theraderm Review

I typically don’t just report about a brand and then forget about them. Nope, doing that would be a really bad approach. Instead, I check in on these brands to see if they’re making changes and remaining innovative. That’s exactly why I’ve decided to take a closer look at the Therapon Skin Health Inc company aka Theraderm.

They’ve got a great site, tons of products, and they’re 100% upfront with consumers. In fact, it’s the first company I’ve ever seen come right out and say that the people selling on Amazon, eBay, Jet, and are not authorized to sell the Theraderm products. Anyway, here’s a rundown of things and all that you need to know about this skin care company.

Theraderm Review

Another one in the list of professional skincare producers, Theraderm is a skin care company that makes clinical grade products for people with different skin types and different skin issues. This company/brand is advertised and is backed by professionals, plastic surgeons, and dermatologists. No doubt about it, they are in it to win it based on what I’m seeing.

The company was founded by a skin expert, one should think that its products are the solution to any annoying skin issue. That may or may not be the case. Keep reading to find out the truth. I’ll take a closer look at the company and its main products.

The Company

The Theraderm brand is the baby of Dr. James Beckman. He’s a plastic surgeon who has worked on patients with severe burns. In 1977, he started with his private practice Therapon Skin Health, where later, he created the first product called the Beckman’s Skin Care Cream. With the advances made in science and technology, he was able to create a specialized restorative cream in 1989 which has been proven to assist in the healing process after many trials were completed on patients.

He finally founded Theraderm in 1996, creating products to improve the overall function and appearance of the skin of his patients. The Theraderm product collection features products that are intended for treating various skin issues like deep wrinkles, acne, and blemishes.

You’ll find that the official company website is not very flashy, fancy or modern in its design, but it does what most don’t. It provides all the necessary information about the products, the ingredients, how to use the products and even provides a “reviews” section, showcasing consumer reviews. What’s most important here? The ingredients, without those, these wouldn’t exist.

The Ingredients

Theraderm products are made with ingredients which have been specifically selected for benefits that they offer consumers. Take a look below and you’ll find a list of the main active ingredients used in most of the products.

  • Hyaluronic acid – Love this one and we talk about it all the time. This ingredient is responsible for keeping the skin properly moisturized. By applying this moisture booster/retainer to the skin, it becomes more plump and smooth, reducing most wrinkles.
  • Peptides – These are large molecules of amino acids that are actually essential for creating proteins, namely collagen which helps build the skin up. Peptides are smaller than proteins and are easily absorbed into the deepest layers of the skin. That level of absorption plays a key role.
  • Lactic acid – This is an alpha hydroxy acid which is used in skin care products quite a bit. It reduces the presence of acne breakouts, smoothes wrinkles, and even helps with exfoliating your skin and refreshing your skin tone.
  • Lanolin – This is a powerful emollient that helps the skin trap moisture in. As that happens, it helps the dead skin fall off and assists with the creation of new skin cells.
  • Other Extracts – The products often incorporate a number of extracts. The extracts range from cocoa, aloe vera, pine extract, red and brown algae, cucumber, grape seeds, green tea leaf, comfrey, chamomile, and lots more.

Are you worried about all the “bad stuff” out there today? If so, then you’ll be happy to understand that almost all of the Theraderm products are made without the use of parabens, gluten, artificial colorants or artificial fragrances.

Theraderm Products

Here’s a closer look at some of the popular and best-selling products this company makes. If I had to pick one system of theirs, I’d say it’s the Skin Renewal System. This is a four-step program that’s a daily regimen meant to help consumers achieve healthy, radiant looking skin.

Cleansing Wash

This is a face cleanser that removes the dirt, oils, and makeup without drying the skin. It does not contain soap, is free from oils and it leaves the skin smooth, clean and refreshed. It can be used as a whole body wash, even for washing the hair. Yes, I said washing hair. Why not kill two birds with one stone.

Fruit Acid Exfoliant

This product contains unbuffered lactic acid that offers consumers a gentle chemical exfoliation experience. It leaves the skin smoother and prepares it for the next step in the skin renewal system. If you’re not using an exfoliator, then you’re doing it all wrong.

OPC Reparative Serum

The third step in the Skin Renewal System is the OPC Reparative Serum. This is an antioxidizing serum made with oligomeric proanthocyanidins. This helps reduce redness and other signs of aging. It also helps you restore any sun-damaged skin. The serum also contains hyaluronic acid for moisturizing. It, of course, does not contain parabens, gluten, artificial dyes or irritating scents.

Peptide Hydrator

This is the fourth step in the renewal system. The hyaluronic acid in this product helps restore the skin, the peptides help stimulate collagen production and the skin is left hydrated, refreshed, and rejuvenated. It’s recommended for all people regardless of the type of skin you’re sporting.

Enriched Facial Moisturizer

This is a skin moisturizer made with lanolin. It too is part of the fourth step in the Skin Renewal System for people with dry or mature/aged skin. The lanolin helps consumers rebuild the skin’s natural lipid barrier and prevents further drying of the skin.

Gentle Facial Moisturizer

This is another moisturizer which is part of the fourth step, but this one intended for people with sensitive and acne-prone skin. It’s a non-comedogenic formula that’s easily absorbed into the skin, leaving no residue at all. The moisturizer does its job, gently moisturizing the skin and leaving you with clean, unclogged pores.

Buying The Products

It’s recommended that consumers looking to try Theraderm products, that they only purchase them through the official online store. The website states that the major online retailers like Amazon, eBay,, and are not authorized to offer the products. No Theraderm products should be purchased via those shopping platforms.

The Reviews

Based on the available information and the reviews written online, it’s safe to say that there are generally positive reviews about all the Theraderm products. Many customers have stated that the Skin Renewal System works. Although this may seem pricey to some, it’s is actually very affordable, and seeing that it can lead to good results, it might be a good choice.

However, it’s not all positive. Some people have stated that the exfoliants are not as effective as promised and that may be due to low concentrations (tough to confirm). My advice would be to check out the reviews on the Theraderm website as well as those published online. After that, make a decision to purchase or keep reading the reviews on until you find what you’re looking for.
