Have you ever been to Iceland? I haven’t and I know quite a few people that have and they claim that it’s the best ever. The skin care products that come out of that region are supposedly pretty awesome. That’s part of the reason why I wanted to do some research on Iceland skin care brands. In doing so, I came across a brand called The SAEM. So, I dove deeper and decided to pick one specific product to really focus on for my review. This time I went with The SAEM Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick. After reading this review, you’ll know everything there is to know about this brand and the specific product I’m covering.
I went with this product for a number of reasons. One of the main reasons I wanted to focus on the hydrating eye stick was that it was affordable for almost every consumer. What I didn’t realize was that The Saem Skin Care brand was insanely popular. No lie! In fact, it’s so popular that 33,000 people each month are searching for this brand on the Internet. That’s a heck of a lot of searches. At any rate, enough about the searches, time for me to go ahead and dive into things.
The Saem Iceland Eye Stick – Brand / Product Details
Here’s everything you need to know about The Saem. I did some digging and learned that website (thesaemcosmetic.com) showed a lot of information about the products. That said, I learned that this company was actually producing products from various locations across the globe. Korea, New Zealand, Tahiti, Hawaii, even France, and Morocco. They’ve made it a point to market their products based on location and that actually seems to be working quite well for them. The website showcases quite a bit of information about how they formulate their products. For the most part, they focus on incorporating nature into their products.
I should also mention that this brand is very much a Korean Skin Care Company that produces more than just K-Beauty products. I’d go as far as calling the Icelandic products I-Beauty. Trust me, the saying will 100% catch on very soon. It will not take long at all.
History Of The Saem Brand
I’ll briefly cover the history of the brand and trust me when I say that it’ll be very brief. I just want to give you an idea of just how long these products have been around and what they’ve done over the years. Back in 2010, the company was established and they first launched the site along with the Gem Miracle Diamond line and the Dr. Beauty Micro Peel Soft Gel.
The following year they opened the first store in Hong Kong and launched the Chaga Line and another product. 2012 they ended up opening stores in Thailand along with their online store. In 2013, they hit 1 million units sold for their Gem Miracle Black Pearl 02 Bubble Mask and it was a huge milestone for them. The Iceland Hydrating Line finally launched in 2014 and they opened stores in Cambodia and Russia. Between 2015 – 2017, they managed to sell 10 million plus units and eventually got their products into CVS and other pharmacies/drugstore chains. They’ve won awards and done lots to improve their products.
Okay, the best seller is 100% the Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick. If you take a close look at the corporate shopping site, they have it listed as being the number one product that they sell. Keep in mind that the company sells lots of products. The 7-gram eye stick works quite well and they’ve sold millions of these over the years. I’m going to share some of the product details with you below. It should help you make better purchasing decisions I think.
The Iceland Hydrating Eye Stick is a cooling eye stick that’s specifically meant to help cool the eye region, brighten the dark areas of your eyes, reduce the puffy eyes and more. It’s a self-proclaimed whitening and wrinkle care stick. If I had to describe this I’d say that it does three things perfectly, cool, moisturize, brighten.
Here’s How It Works
Here’s how the product works, it’s the basic information that you need to know about, simple as that.
1. You need to know that this eye stick cools your skin through the use of Iceland Mineral Water. The product contains 5% mineral water from Iceland. There’s no menthol, no artificial ingredients, nothing of that nature – just mineral water.
2. The eye stick works to brighten your skin through prevention, and it reduces puffiness via increasing circulation.
3. The product helps moisturize the region through the use of Iceland moss, kelp, and other plants located in Iceland.

Using The Product
You can’t buy a product without knowing how to properly use it, right? Well, good news that this is pretty much simple to use, seriously. All you have to do is apply this in the same manner that you’d apply any other eye cream. Make sure your skin is clean and apply it, boom, you’re done.
I do have a couple of precautions that you’ll want to be aware of or at least be on the lookout for. I’d say only use the product in the way that the company suggests. If you end up having an allergic reaction of some sort, then stop using it. I also suggest that you not use the product on scars or any area of your skin that seems to be irritated. Based on my research this product as a 3-year expiration window and should only be used 1-year after opening.
I took a look at the Amazon listing and quickly noticed that this product has 80+ reviews and an average rating of 3.9. The product sells for $10 on Amazon and based on my research, the company sells about 1,500 of these products on a monthly basis. I would say that based on the information presented, you’d be crazy not to try this product for such a low cost.
