Here at this site and our other sites, we typically don’t like to talk politics. In fact, it’s the last thing we like to bring up as it literally cuts off half of our potential visitors and habitual readers when we do. Therefore, we’ve decided to remain rather dormant throughout this entire election year.
One thing I want to make perfectly clear is that everyone at Skincare.net believes that you have a right to choose whichever candidate you feel is best to get the job done. That said, I’m not here to complain or boast about the results. Instead, I’m here to help you get your skin back on track. I’m going to give you a few reasons why I think the Presidential Election has destroyed your skin.
Reasons Why The U.S. Presidential Election Ruined Your Skin
I’m not going to go into too much detail here but I can almost guarantee that you and most Americans have tired looking skin today. Here are some of the reasons why…
I’ll start with the most obvious reason, a lack of sleep. People have literally been losing sleep over this election. Some people stayed up all night last night in order to watch the polls report their ballot numbers. Not getting an adequate amount of sleep on a daily basis is terrible. In fact, it’s one of the worst things that you can do to your body. In the event that you sleep six versus eight hours each night, you best believe that it slowly destroys your skin.
I stopped at Starbucks this morning and saw people with dark circles and huge bags under their eyes. It’s likely because they were up all night watching television. The first thing I have to say is that you staying up wasn’t going to affect the outcome. It would have been best to get a full eight hours of sleep versus wasting time listening to various politically biased media channels. A good way to get rid of those dark circles is to apply a product that has been specially formulated to reduce bags and under eye circles. Letting your health suffer is not the answer.
Another reason your skin probably looks terrible today is due to the increased level of stress that you have been dealing with. Political banter, arguments, debates, social media rants and more. They all take a toll on your stress levels and participating in the action is a huge negative when it comes to your skin.
The best way to reduce your stress levels is to remove yourself from the situation. Do what you can to block the noise and not get too involved. Another option is to spend more time exercising at the gym and eating well. Workouts are a great way to reduce stress. Not to mention, doing so can put you in a better mood and have you feeling better than you did before.
Chances are you’ve been so focused on politics that your good eating habits may have tanked. It’s something that you need to get back on track as quickly as possible. You can do this by introducing fruits and veggies that are high in vitamin C.
Whatever you do, now that the election is over and the people have spoken, it’s best to move forward and focus on your own personal health and well-being. As Donald Trump would probably say, “Make Your Skin Great Again!”
