The Art Of Manscaping: Skin, Beard, Hair, And More!

I know what you’re thinking, I’m perfect and don’t need to take any advice on my looks. Typical guy response. Well, all I’m asking is that you keep an open mind and read this manscaping article without forming an opinion. At the end, if you don’t like what you’ve heard, feel free to write in and tell me about it. On the other hand, if you find some of the information useful, feel free to share it with your other readers!

Manscaping Tips For The Average Joe

Let me kick things off by discussing skin care. Look, I’m not trying to act like your mother, but you’ve got to protect your skin. If you’re not wearing sunscreen daily and using moisturizer then you’re doing an injustice to your body. I’d also suggest picking up an eye cream if you live the bachelor lifestyle. Chances are you’ve had some late nights that require some under eye treatment. Do yourself a solid and pick up a high-quality moisturizer that contains SPF 30.

Next on the list are those eyebrows. I’ll tell you what’s not in style these days, a unibrow. Now, I’m not saying that you need to go get your eyebrows shaped and all, but you don’t want them looking all bushy. Your best bet is to simply pluck in between them and make sure they look presentable.

Okay, now it’s time for that beard talk. Beards are a tough beast to tame. What most people don’t understand is that beards require upkeep. You need to take care of your beard if you want to look good. If you’re still trying to rock a patchy beard then I think it’s time you pick up a razor (and pick up a strop while you’re at it). In the event that you’re man enough to admit defeat, then pick up an electric razor and trim your beard down. Take a nice sharp razor and beard balm to your face follow the trimmer. Watch the ladies flock like wild animals as you strut down the hallway at work. You’ll need to fend them off because you’re looking smoothly irresistible.

I hate to have to go here with the conversation but we can’t talk manscaping without discussing hair. The hair is a topic that people hate to discuss but we can’t leave it behind. If you’re going bald, then you’re not alone. There are plenty of things that you can do with your hair. If you want my personal opinion, don’t color it and don’t try and fight it too much. Just keep your hair short and clean looking. That’s what matters most here. I always suggest drying your hair, applying a small amount of product and going about your day. Don’t buy into the whole Rogaine and Propecia approach. If you want, start with Nioxin.

Now, last but not least, you’ve gotta keep those pearly whites looking nice and bright. What does that require? The basics like brushing your teeth and flossing daily. Don’t be afraid to use some mouthwash to follow up that routine. It’s a pain but it really makes a huge difference. You also shouldn’t be afraid to apply a lip balm of some soft. It can help with any lip discoloration as a result of sun exposure or dehydration.

Now, I want you to understand that these are the bare essentials of manscaping and nothing more. If you’re not doing these things then you’re not going out of your way to look halfway decent.
