There are lots of people that struggle to take action daily when it comes to caring for their skin. Forget about the timing of product use, they can’t even manage to work products inconsistently. Not all consumers are disorganized. In fact, some people are extremely diligent when it comes to skin product use and what they incorporate into their daily routines and when. However, there are some products that you’ll want to completely avoid during the day.
If you’re the type that applies and uses products throughout the day, then you’ll want to take the time to read this and learn what products to absolutely avoid during the day.
Skin Care Product To Avoid During The Day Time
The products that I’m about to share with you are what many consider to be the night owls or vampires of the skin care products. The reason I say this is because there are some types of products that just aren’t meant to be applied during the day. Keep that in mind when reading this and your skin and wallet will both be thankful.
AHA and BHAs
The first product type that you’ll want to avoid are those containing alpha hydroxy acids and beta hydroxy acids. These are organic acids that both work efficiently in improving skin texture and unclogging pores, respectively. The problem is that these are only helpful at night due to sensitivity to sun exposure. That said, you’ll want to apply this before bed.
This ingredient is derived from vitamin A. This vitamin is widely known for helping with lots of common skin issues like acne, typical aging and much more. It’s definitely a go-to and major player in the game. However, if you’re planning on applying it, you best do so in the evening and not first thing in the morning. The main reason you need to avoid using retinoids in the morning is simple, they cause sun sensitivity and can literally cause sunburns to form. For this reason, you’ll only want to apply retinoids once daily and in the evening before bed.
I know this sounds pretty obvious, but some people still don’t get it. Sleep masks have been named as such for a reason. The reason this product type is to be used while you sleep is simple. It’s because that’s when it works best. Not to mention, wearing a mask during the day is just going to look foolish. If you’re looking to rehydrate your skin, refresh things and just look and feel better, then start working sleep masks into your routine.
I love researching this product because I know many of them work insanely well. It should be simple to understand that night cream is named as such because it’s meant to be used at night. It’s good to use night creams in the evening because they help hydrate and rejuvenate your skin while you sleep. Unlike typical day creams, night cream doesn’t contain any SPF and it’s not light like creams meant for daytime use. Using night creams during the day can give you that greasy feeling and look.
