Skin Care Apps

I’m all about technology and using it to my greatest advantage. That’s one of the reasons why we own this website and many other digital media outlets that we publish on. At any rate, I’m not here to talk about our sites. Instead, I’m here to share some skin care apps with you that I recommend you download today.

There is literally an app for everything. Chances are that if you come up with the idea for an app, it most likely already exists, is successful, or it’s already flopped. That’s neither here nor there though. What’s important is knowing the tools and technology that can help you achieve the best looking skin complexion possible. Which is why I’m going to do my best to share all the apps that I many of our readers use today.

Before I get into things, let me start by mentioning that Nielsen recently did a study on mobile use and they were able to determine that 89% of users tend to spend time using apps versus mobile websites. Not a shocking number considering the number of Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat users today. They’re all using one app or another all day long.

Skin Care AppsWhy Do They Use Them?

Some people still can’t figure out why they use these apps. The main reason people use them is because they literally zero in on what you’re trying to accomplish. Not to mention, they are super convenient. Imagine having to log into a website or type the address in every time you want to get some information on a topic. It’s becoming an annoying task that many people are reluctant to do today. It’s not that they’re lazy, just that they prefer simplicity and a more direct approach.

I’m here today to help simplify your life. I want you to understand that skin care regimens, tips, and more are literally more prevalent than ever within the market today. Let’s jump right in and get things started!

Popular Skin Care Apps of 2017

Not wasting a single second here today! I’m going to dive right in and share some of the skin care apps that you need to be aware of. You don’t have to try them all but think about using one or two of them. You’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain in doing so.

Think Dirty

The Think Dirty app is pretty cool. What it does is help you better examine products for harmful or toxic ingredients. The app was created by Lily Tse who wanted to make it easier for people to find safe skin care product alternatives.

Here’s how it works, all you need to do is scan the barcode of a product. Think Dirty will check all the ingredients and provide you with a list of what might be harmful or hazardous. The app will also offer a safer alternative. Careful, the app is extremely addicting and something that many organic skin care advocates use daily when shopping.

The next app on the list is called Dermcheck and it’s exactly what you think it is! If you’re the type that surfs WebMD for answers, then this is going to be your saving grace. Dermcheck connects you to 20+ dermatologists to help answer your skin questions. If you don’t have time to hit the local doctor then this is the next best thing. Don’t worry, they’ll handle prescriptions and everything for you.

I know, you’re going to tell me that this isn’t a skin care app but I beg to differ! The Fitbit app tracks hydration and that is one of the most important things if you want to keep your skin looking healthy. I’ve mentioned so many times how important it is to drink water all day long. Here’s another thing to remember, exercise helps improve your skin. This app also tracks your sleeping if you have the device. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this app. Just get it and do what’s necessary!

The RYNKL app will become a doctor in a sense. It’s going to help you track the progression of your wrinkles and hopefully the improvement that you’re having overtime due to using the app. Through the use of complex algorithms and artificial intelligence, you can now better understand the changes that are taking place on your face.

You’re able to take selfies with this app every day and it will track all the lines that seem to be present. Knowing the direction that you’re headed in can help you for sure. I like this because it’s able to track the progression and stages that you’re in with regards to the direction that you’re going in. Maybe you’ll come across a neck cream that works for you and you continue using it due to reaffirmation from the app. Or maybe you find out quicker that it’s just not worth using. That’s what this is for!

Another app is one by a popular skin care website called This app does a few things. The first thing that it does is provide you with a free skin care analysis. You need to take a snapshot, answer a few questions and they’ll do everything else. They have a licensed esthetician that can and will evaluate your skin for you. They respond in 24 hours. I am going to be honest and let you know that we’ve not personally tried this app but wanted to mention it.

Keep in mind that these are only a few of the many skin care apps that exist today. Feel free to send some our way. We want to check them out. If you know of something that we’re not aware of that exists, please bring it to our attention. Send it via Facebook messenger, email, tweet it or do whatever you need to connect with us. Who knows, we might reward you with some free skin products if you do!
