There aren’t a lot of things that us guys need to do in order to keep our skin looking best as possible. However, it’s the lack of action that causes our looks to fail. The suggestions that I’m about to share with you should be thought of as “must do” and not a simple suggestion. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take a lot of effort at all. You simply need to take action and do as I say, that’s all there is to it.

Hydrate Your Body

The first thing you need to do is continue hydrating your body. As the weather begins to get cooler, the first thing you need to keep doing is drinking water. As the weather gets colder, your body needs to work harder in order to stay warm. The blood pumping through your body gets thinned out and as a result, your skin suffers. You need to be drinking as many glasses of water a day. I’d say ten to twelve minimum if you want to keep it glowing nicely. Drink water and nothing else.

Avoid Bars of Soap

Ever notice how your skin reacts to a bar of soap in the winter time? It becomes dry, itchy, and dull. That’s because your skin is being stripped of nutrients and other things as you apply the soap bars to your skin.

It would be in your best interest to ditch the bars of soap and go with a gentle facial cleanser instead. There are plenty of options out there for you to choose from. Just get rid of them and move on.

Moisturize Multiple Times Daily

Guys, I know it sounds painful but you’ve got to get off your butt and do something for a change. Once the cold temps start to kick in, your skin will eventually get dry. Patches will start to form and your skin will literally become bothersome. It’s in your best interest to moisturize twice daily if you want to keep your skin looking and feeling healthy. Wear Sunscreen

Many men think that just because it gets cold outside, they don’t need to wear sunscreen. That’s the biggest bunch of nonsense I’ve heard in a long time. Do not even for a single day think about skipping out on sunscreen. It should go without saying that you need to wear sunscreen every single time you’re outside during the day. If you’re not wearing sunscreen, then you are only asking for trouble in the long run. I promise your neglect will result in awful lines, wrinkles, and perhaps worse…skin cancer!

Avoid Hot Showers

I know the first thing you want to do on a cold day is taking a nice hot shower. Honestly, it couldn’t be worse for your skin. Sure, you ‘ll feel amazing for about five minutes but once that’s over that’s it. The moisture will have been sucked from your skin faster than you can even imagine.

Sure, the occasional hot shower is fine but don’t make a habit of it.

Instead, you’re far better off opting for a warm shower that will leave your skin soft and moist. The trick is to hope out of the shower and apply moisturizer right away.
