Mary Jane, also known as weed, pot, marijuana and a hundred other things is so darn popular now. States within the U.S. have legalized the use of weed for medical purposes To be exact, 24 states have legalized it for medical reasons and 4 have legalized for recreational use. This plant is becoming so popular that it was only a matter of time before weed skin care products hit the market.

CBD For Life: A Skin Care Product That Contains THC

A lot of people are having trouble deciding whether or not it is legal to use a skin care product that is infused with cannabis in their state.

What people need to understand is that it really depends on the level of cannabis used in the product. If a product is able to successfully keep THC levels under 0.3% then it’s legal in every state.

I haven’t had a chance to use any products that contain weed but I am familiar with a couple brands that exist today. There’s a brand called Apothecanna which is a face and body oil that contains mandarin, geranium, cedar, and cannabis.

There is also a brand called CBD For Life which has products such as their face and body cleanser.

How These Products Work

Both of the products mentioned work off of cannabidiol which is often referred to CBD. Those that aren’t educated in the cannabis area may not know that CBD is a compound responsible for those high effects that many consumers get. The other compound is known as tetrahydrocannabinol aka THC. The difference is that cannabidiol doesn’t produce the high that THC does.

Is It Better Than Non-Weed Products?

If you ask a pothead, the answer will arguably be that a product containing weed, likely produce better results. The truth of the matter is, that’s likely not the case. I guess I’ll have to try it out in order to really find out. We are so advanced when it comes to skin care, I can’t see cannabis being the secret ingredient that changes the industry.

Well, now is the time when I have to lay my legal jargon on the table. This site does not encourage the use of illegal substances and we’d like to remind all our readers that it’s important to abide by both state and federal regulations. If you’re interested in learning more about the rules and regulations of marijuana then I suggest you read this page.
