Shay Mitchell + Biore in 2016
Biore decided to make Shay Mitchell the face of the brand for 2016 and it may be a strategy they’ve put in place in order better attract consumers and drives sales for their soon to be released Baking Soda cleanser products. The company is planning on releasing two new products before the end of the year and both are Baking Soda cleansers.
The first product set to be released is called the Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. This cleanser is supposedly said to both play a role in the cleansing and exfoliating process.
The other product set to hit the shelves is called the Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub. This product comes in a concentrated powder form and is said to foam up immediately once in contact with water. Using the Bioré Baking Soda Cleaning Scrub is said to leave your skin 2.5 times cleaner versus using a basic cleanser. I was not able to find any research study to prove this but wanted to share the talk that I’ve heard. It will be interesting to see the impact Shay Mitchell has on sales for these two Baking Soda cleanser products.
If you’re not familiar with who Shay Mitchell is, here’s some background information on the actress. Shay is a 28-year-old Canadian-born actress. She’s most well-known for the role she plays on the ABC show Pretty Little Liars. She plays Emily Fields on the hit show.

Chances are you’ll find a number of photos that further confirm why Biore chose her as their brand ambassador. Here’s a video of Shay sharing 52 facts about herself and showing off her house.
