Removing Wrinkles

There is no other way for me to put this other than coming right out and saying it – wrinkles SUCK! The good news is that there’s a way to get rid of them as well as prevent them. Removing them is tough but not impossible.

In fact, if I had to guess, I’d say that wrinkles are one of the worst enemies our skin has to deal with. While we all have laugh lines (which start to develop typically at a young age) the real wrinkles appear after 3o age. Nothing can really prepare us for when they come about. Sure, there are products and treatments, but when you first see them, it can be heartbreaking – NO LIE.

Most of us try to avoid them by using anti-aging creams and other treatments, but no matter how hard we try, wrinkles are always tough and they will appear undoubtedly. While most people give up and accept wrinkles as being a part of them, there are some things that everyone can do to eliminate or diminish them.

There are home remedies, store-bought products and even very high-priced treatments that work. Your preferred method depends on just how persistent you are and your willingness to commit to eliminating them for good.

Ways To Remove Wrinkles

As we get older, wrinkles will inevitably form and like I said, it sucks when that happens. However, there are many things we can do at a young age that will prevent wrinkles from prematurely showing up on the surface of our skin. Keep reading as I dive deeper into all the things you can and should consider if you want to remove your wrinkles. Hopefully, one or two of the options will work for you.

Full disclosure: Simply applying an expensive product isn’t going to cut it. You need to know that it’s a combination of things that help keep your wrinkles from forming. Some of these options are not products, but treatments, or actions that you can consider.

Change Your Lifestyle

You may think that applying all kinds of expensive creams on your skin will do the trick. But you also have to be aware that beauty starts from within. What I mean by that is that if you’re striving to achieve wrinkle-free skin and a fair and healthy complexion, then you need to reconsider some of your daily habits. Consistency is key and if you’re living unhealthy, eating unhealthy, or doing anything that’s not good for you, then stop.

Beauty Sleep

This is one of the most important things you can do for your body and mind. Getting enough sleep is essential for normal functioning and this is important if you want the achievable wrinkle-free skin. A good night’s sleep means a balanced circadian rhythm. Hormones that are indirectly linked to it are produced in regulated quantities. These hormones affect the regeneration of the skin, making your skin appear youthful and vibrant.

Eat Right

What goes in must be processed. Health starts in the gut. By eating foods that contain good healthy fats and a lot of protein, you’ll supply your body with enough nutrients in order to help promote healthy skin.

You must avoid all carbonated drinks and processed foods as these contain preservatives that have negative effects on the body and skin. Instead, start adding more fruit, vegetables, lean meats and of course – drink plenty of water throughout the entire day. This way you can be sure that your skin gets enough vitamins, minerals, protein, and fats along with the proper hydration that it needs. All of that will certainly show through your skin.

Kill Bad Habits

Bad habits play a major role in wrinkle development. I’m talking about smoking and the use of alcohol on a daily basis. Cigarette smoke causes the deterioration of the collagen – the essential building block of the skin, pronouncing your wrinkles. You’ll likely also develop something called smokers lips, which is super unattractive.

Excess use of alcohol actually dehydrates the body, literally pulling moisture from the skin. So, if you strive to have smooth, wrinkle-free skin, then kick the cigarettes and quit the booze pronto. You can try using some ecigs I guess or vaping if you want a healthier option.

Protect The Skin

The most common reason for wrinkles to appear is damage caused by the sun’s harmful UV rays. Shocking, right? Not so much when you know how this happens.

UV rays from the sun speed up the breakdown of the collagen in the skin, causing it to lose its elasticity and vitality – thus wrinkles form. So, you need to make sunscreen your new best friend when going out. I don’t care if you’re going out for five minutes or five hours.

Don’t hesitate to use it in the winter, as the UV index is not dependent on the seasons. Even if the sunscreen does not contain any wrinkle prevention agents, it protects your skin from further damage.

Establish A Solid Routine

A good way to avoid the formation of wrinkles is to have a skincare routine down. Everyone is different, so you need to learn what works best for your skin, start using the proper products, and use them every day for noticeable results. One day a week will not cut it, sorry.

Also, Just a bar of soap and water will not cut it. The skin needs to be cleaned with a good cleanser that will gently unclog your pores without causing irritation. After that, you will need to apply a toner and an anti aging serum that will help eventually reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Lastly, apply moisturizer to redeliver the moisture that has been removed. Lastly, go to sleep early and get about seven or eight hours.

Use Anti-Aging Products

To prolong the development of wrinkles, you should start using anti-aging products. However, you have to choose the correct treatment depending on your skin type and age. There are some good over-the-counter products and serums that are intended for younger people. After you hit thirty, though, you should probably look into using daily anti-aging products that have a strong reputation and customer base. After forty and for some people, even fifty, most definitely, you will need to look into getting some prescription anti-aging serums.

A popular and effective ingredient in these anti-aging products is alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). AHA cleans the skin, exfoliating it deeply by removing the layer of dead skin cells. This exfoliation stimulates the skin to produce fresh collagen, effectively getting rid of your wrinkles and smoothing out any uneven skin.

Retinoids are similar to alpha hydroxy acids as these also stimulate the collagen production and assist with the cleaning process. Remember, products with retinoids are powerful and effective in stimulating the growth of new wrinkle-free skin. However, you need to be careful with getting too much sun exposure if using retinoid creams.

A Wrinkle-Smoothing Treatment

After a certain age, no matter what we do, wrinkles will start to show and no, they won’t just go away. At this stage, to smooth out your skin, it’s necessary to consider a professional treatment designed to smooth your wrinkles. An effective treatment is the fractional CO2 laser treatment which smooths out wrinkles.

Wrinkles are a natural pain in the ass. Our skin will lose its elasticity and start to sag and wrinkle. To reduce the presence of wrinkles, you can and you should follow the advice outlined above. Start now! Do not wait any longer. You’ll have a better shot at avoiding the need for expensive and invasive wrinkle-smoothing procedures.
