I’ve personally been dealing with puffy eyes and dark circles for longer than I can even remember. When I first started dealing with the issue, I didn’t know what to do. There are so many skin care routines that I can turn to that I honestly didn’t know where to start. Have used some of the self-described best eye serums and creams, I know that not all of them hold up their end of the bargain. Which is part of the reason why I often suggest that people take a more holistic approach to caring for their skin when possible. If you’re in the same boat, then fear not, I’ve got a few suggestions for you.
The first thing that you need to do is figure out what the heck is going on…
Sometimes your puffy eyes have nothing to do with just that. In fact, more often than not, it means something bigger than that. Since puffy eyes can often be a sign of bigger issues and health problems, trying to figure out what it might be matters. If it’s just genetics, then you might be in trouble. If it’s something else, then I’m sure there’s something that we can do to help.
But first, let’s try and rule a few things out. Is it allergies? Perhaps diet related? Maybe too much crying? Hormones or medical issues? Whatever it might be, determining the reason goes a long way.
Once you’ve determined the ultimate reason, it’s then time to take action. There are a couple of things that you can do, starting with a cold compress. One thing that I like to do is apply a gel mask or compress of some sort whenever my eyes are puffy. The easiest way to do this is to buy a gel mask, pop it in the freezer and apply it when necessary. Trust me, it works wonders.
Soaking cucumber juice in cotton pads can due the trick as well. Perhaps it’s the vitamin K that makes this such a miracle solution. Close your eyes, apply it the cotton pads and over your under eye region and reap the rewards after.
No time for the DIY approach? NO PROBLEM!
There are plenty of products which you might consider for this type of thing. If you’ve got puffy eyes that just won’t quick, then I suggest giving Elite Serum Rx a shot. It’s one of the best that I’ve ever used and it works almost instantly. Beat that!
Another product that you might consider using is the Under Eye Gel by Alanna. This product is different from an ingredients perspective. What I mean by that is that the product contains ale vera. The aloe vera helps instantly improve the condition of your eyes, reducing the puffiness immediately.
Another product that you might think about using is the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Eye & Face Ball. This is an antioxidant that hydrates and depots like a #boss. If you’re worried about reducing the puffiness around your eyes, then this might be the trick.
Another product that I suggest checking out is one by none other than Clinique. It’s called Clinique – All About Eyes and it’s a hydrating eye gel/cream that eliminates puffiness without making your under eye region oily at all.
All the suggestions that I’ve provided are a great place to start, especially if you’re dealing with puffiness for quite some time and on a regular basis. Give one of them a shot and let us know how it goes! Will they change your life? You better believe it! Take action or regret it later.
