If you haven’t visited a Lush store, you owe it to yourself to find the nearest location and experience all that Lush has to offer. My first experience with Lush was about 7 years ago inside of Macy’s in Chicago. Years later, I finally have one easily accessible at the local mall. Imagine my excitement!
Lush Cosmetics is a commendable company on so many levels. I’ll recap just a few. The entire background on the company can be found on their website at www.lushusa.com.
Lush Cosmetics started in England, and then opened in Vancouver in 1996. The first American store wasn’t opened until 2003 in San Francisco. Now, there are over 210 stores in North America and they are all supplied by two kitchens that are in Canada.
The No Drought Shampoo Review
What do we mean by kitchens? All Lush products are handmade, from organic fruits and veggies and oils and safe synthetics. From their skin products, to bath bombs, to skin care and hair care products, everything is handmade. Even better, the products are not tested on animals.
The product I recently tried was the Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo. I am guilty of skipping washes here and there so I like to use a dry shampoo to soak up any oil and remove and smells my hair may have absorbed along the way. Typically I use dry shampoos that come in a spray can, which is not only bad for our health but the environment. The Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo comes in a powder form. It has an amazing grapefruit smell to it. It’s slightly gritty in texture. It absorbs the grease well and I’ve even applied it all over my hair prior to curling it, to give it a little grip.
The Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo is available online at a Lush store near you for $14.99.
