Love them or hate them, the Kardashian girls are here to stay! Khloe Kardashian has had skin cancer issues that she has dealt with in the past. Well, so has recently made an attempt to get her voice heard by more people. She wants the world to know about her story and why people should be more proactive when it comes to skin cancer scares.
Khloe Kardashian Shares Skin Cancer Story…
If you didn’t know, Khloe has her own personal website where she posts lots of information about her life and situations she’s going through. She recently shared the story of how she once had a terrible scare where she thought she had skin cancer.
Khloe expressed that she has moles everywhere and that she noticed on had grown under her breast. After looking further into things, she realized that the mole may be an issue. Looking things up on the Internet can lead to dramatic results but it was important that she get it checked out.
Turns out, her doctor decided to remove the mole and perform a biopsy on it. The growth was benign and even though she has had to deal with this type of process on a number of occasions, it’s never easy. She is very grateful that most of the moles have not been cancerous.
Khloe Kardashian gets regular checkups and for the most part, they are pretty routine. However, she did reveal one experience that nearly sent her over the edge. She had a mole on her back that ended up being skin cancer. Since it was cancer, she had to get it removed. The doctor ended up removing 8 inches of skin. According to US Magazine, it was painful. Most of the time Khloe doesn’t have an issue with the pain but in this particular case, it wasn’t easy.
One would assume that Khloe Kardashian and the other sisters are now professionals when it comes to proper skin care. It should not come as a shocker if I state that Khloe uses sunscreen every single day. She applies it everywhere. She is especially cautious with her hands. Since they are exposed so often, it makes sense to treat them appropriately. Most people forget about them.
Khloe told US Magazine that she always has an extra bottle of sunscreen in her glove compartments just in case she forgets to apply it in the morning. It’s a small cost for the reality TV star to have to pay versus dealing with the increased chances of getting skin cancer again. I mean, if she owns a half a dozen cars and each one needs a single bottle of high-end sunscreen, it is a lot more economical and less painful to just buy the bottles. She stores them in case an emergency arises or when she forgets to apply the product.
I’ve preached the importance of protecting your skin from the sun for years. It should come as no surprise that it’s the most common type of cancer that people are diagnosed with. Basic preventative measures are all it takes. Wear sunscreen every day (especially you golfers) or get skin cancer. The choice is yours!
