There are hundreds of fad diets out there that target just about anything that you can think of. Get a group of nutritionists, doctors, scientists, and skin specialists together and you’ll be discussing this topic for days. Some people have diets that work best for their skin and others take a different approach following another type of diet. One of the diets that seem to have become popular for your skin over the years is the Mediterranean Diet.
The question is whether or not consuming all those plants, olive oil and almonds can actually help improve your skin?
Some people believe that it most certainly can help lead to better-looking skin. While this diet isn’t for everyone, especially if you’ve got an almond allergy or something like that. You need to remember that healthy skin starts from within and consuming foods that can help accomplish that makes all the sense in the world.

One of the main ingredients that people include in their diet is lavender. It’s easy to find, is considered a major player in the essential oils game and it contains lots of vitamin E. This ingredient can help heal your skin from within and also promotes an increase in circulation.
Next on the Mediterranean Diet list is orange blossom. Lots of people like to use this ingredient in DIY toner solutions, but many also like to add it to their food. Some people prefer to drink orange blossom infused water which is chock full of vitamins. You can only imagine how good this tastes and the power that it exerts with the water and vitamins. It’s a must use if you’re going to do this type of diet.
Almonds are my ultimate favorite. I don’t think I’ve gone a week without eating almonds in the last five years. Almond oil is loaded with vitamin B and vitamin A. It’s tasty, healthy, and whether you’re consuming it in raw form, butter form, or pure oil, it’s incredible for you. Another skin winner in the Mediterranean Diet.
Not to only cover oils, but I had to mention olive oil here! Olive oil is delicious and is often used injunction with cooking herbs to really bring out the flavor and nutrients. The vitamin E and all those antioxidants that this contains are pretty amazing for your body. Not to mention, who doesn’t like a little olive oil and warm freshly baked Italian bread?
I’ve covered this ingredient before in other articles, but I’ll cover it here again. Rose water is a staple of the Mediterranean Diet. Lots of people drink rose water but more use it on their skin. Whatever approach you take, be sure to do your homework on this one before consuming it.
