Is your skin super greasy these days? If so, are you completely sick of dealing with it? Well, no matter what you do, it might be a lost cause unless you take the necessary approaches and specifically address some of the things that I’m about to point out to you today. Keep in mind, that just because it’s listed here doesn’t mean that this is your issue. Your problem might be something completely different. Nevertheless, this is what you need to know about it.
Got Greasy Skin? This Might Be The Reason Why!
There’s a good chance that your skin is greasy for a number of reasons, many of which you never thought of. Knowing the reasons why is half of the battle. I’ll start with one that you might not have even thought of, I’m talking about hormones. One thing you need to know is that hormonal changes can definitely cause your sebaceous glands to act up and produce more oil than they’d typically produce. If you want to try and combat or control this, then might I suggest that you incorporate a cleanser into your routine.
Another culprit causing greasy skin has to do with too much dairy consumption. I’m a huge fan of cheese and butter but I’m no longer consuming them like I used to. Here’s why, they contain hormones and those hormones cause your oil production to become imbalanced. As a result, you guessed it, greasy skin! Do yourself a solid and reduce or eliminate the amount of dairy that you’re consuming. You should try and detox your skin as well using something like a detox mask of some sort.
Believe it or not, moisturizer plays a pretty prominent role here as well. If you’re using the wrong type of moisturizer for your skin, then you might be doing a disservice to it. Here’s how this works, if you’re the type that has oily skin and you use moisturizer for dry skin, your skin will likely feel greasy come sundown, it’s a known fact. Using the right type of moisturizer is crucial here and you need to understand that. If you don’t then simply try switching things up a bit and see what type of results it produces. I’m thinking you’ll begin to notice and enjoy the results immediately.
Another thing that makes a big difference is fluid consumption. If you’re not drinking enough water, then you’re skin may end up getting greasy. Being properly hydrated typically makes your skin far less oily. Your best bet would be to avoid soda and carbonated drinks. Additionally, you should try and drink a dozen glasses of water every single day. I do that and it works wonders for me.
There’s another factor that causes greasy skin and this one is hard to fix. That’s right, I’m talking about genetics! Did you know that genetics played a prominent role in your skin type? If you’ve got genetics which produce more oil, then you’ve got to deal with that. Your best bet is to get your skin tested in order to determine whether or not your genetics are the issue here. In the event that they are, you’ll need to take action and begin to combat things as quickly as possible.
Greasy and oily skin can be dealt with and if you’re willing to deal with them, then great you’ll be on your way to “better-looking” skin. If not, I don’t know what to tell you other than you might be completely out of luck! Take action and stop procrastinating here!
