What Exactly Is ACV Toner?

Most people reading this are probably thinking to themselves, “What is an acv toner?” Trust me, you’re not the only one having the same thoughts. It’s an apple cider vinegar toner that is meant to help soothe your skin, fight off acne, and keep your oil production under control.

The best part, this is an at-home remedy that you can start doing with just a few simple ingredients. The toner is filled with antioxidants which are fantastic for your skin. This mixture has been used for years, possibly centuries as it has some healing qualities to it that must not be forgotten.

Some people think it’s absolutely crazy to use this, but I’m telling you right now it’s not. The acidic levels in this toner actually help better maintain the pH balance of your skin. If you’re not familiar with apple cider vinegar at all, then I’ll try my best to cover all the benefits that you can get from using this topically on your skin.

Assuming you have issues with any of the following conditions, then acv toner is right up your alley.

  • Skin Cells Building Up
  • Free Radical Build Up
  • Aging Spots
  • Acne Scarring
  • Large Pores

There are a number of ingredients that can be found in apple cider vinegar which make acv the perfect solution for just about anyone out there looking to clear up their skin. That is unless you’re allergic to apples and vinegar!

ACV contains AHA’s also known as alpha hydroxy acids. This is what helps shred those dead skin cells and dissolve many of the fatty deposits that build up in your pores and on your skin, causing oil production to occur.

You’ll also find a ton of antioxidants which are able to help you fight off that free radical build-up that causes so many issues with most people out there today. It also has a way of fighting infections, reducing acne germs, bacteria, and keeps your skin smooth as can be.

Another ingredient that’s commonly used in the acv toner is green tea. I’ve covered this ingredient before as it’s wonderful for your skin and contains many great ingredients such as flavonoids, vitamin C, polyphenols, vitamin B, and more.

The last ingredient used in the acv toner is simple lavender essential oil. It’s primarily used for purposes of improving the scent. To be specific, here’s what you need to know about the ingredients and the amount of each needed.

Green tea bag (1)
Distilled water (1 Cup)
Apple Cider Vinegar (1 Tsp)
Lavender Oil (5-6 drops)

Boil the water and steep the team bag in the water. Leave it in the water for roughly five minutes. Take the tea off the stove and let it cool. Takes the teaspoon of apple cider vinegar aka acv and add it to a spray bottle. Add the green tea once cooled. Next, add the lavender oil. Shake the mixture well and apply it in the same manner you would any other skin toner.

You should start to see results after a few applications. Use the acv toner in the same amount of times that you would your regular toner. This is simply a homemade substitute that you can apply to your skin.

Does it work overnight? Well, it’s not that quick, but you might see some results rather quickly given the potency of the toner.
