Tips On How To Get Lean (The Right Way)

I’m sick and tired of people thinking that there’s a magical pill or formula to getting lean and fit. Honestly, that couldn’t be further from the truth. The problem is that most people aren’t dedicated or consistent enough with anything in life to truly get ahead. For those interested in learning how to get leaner in a manner that will last, please keep reading.

Steps To Take If You Want To Lose Body Fat

Here are some simple steps that you must take if you want to lose that gut of yours.

1) Cut Back On Carbs. Cut Out Alcohol.

I’m not suggesting that you eliminate carbs completely, but you’ve got to cut back on them if you want to get leaner. I typically suggest cutting out 40-50% of your current carb intake over the next four or five days. You’ve got to start here and see where it takes you. The objective is to shock your body and kick things into gear with your metabolism. Don’t try and cut them out completely or you’ll destroy your metabolism for good. Instead, simply cut back.

You’ve also got to remove all carbs from your last meal of the day. If you want to get lean, then this is an absolute must!

Last but not least, you’ve got to stop drinking alcohol. It’s calories that are no good for you. If you’re trying to get in shape then you need to eliminate all alcohol consumption period. Making an effort to cut carbs and booze should help better manage your insulin levels and hopefully positively impact your growth hormone levels.

2) Do Cardio. Eat Lean Protein.

If you want to get lean, you’ve got to do cardio. I’m not talking about a lot of cardio activity. If your diet is spot on, then you don’t need to do much cardio at all. What I suggest is working in cardio first thing in the morning before you consume any calories. What really matters here is you remain strict with the cardio and training while eating right.

I also suggest that you consume enough protein to ensure that you’re not losing too much muscle. You’ll want to eat protein (an additional 25 grams) with each meal if you want to get lean. This consumption is necessary as it can help you maintain muscle tissue.

3) Use Fat Burning Products

Don’t be afraid to incorporate the use of a few fat burning products. This can help you get over that hump that you’re trying to overcome. I suggest incorporating caffeine and green tea for starters. These ingredients help prevent fat from being stored in your body.

4) Incorporate A Super Low Carb Day

Carb cycling is a thing that lots of people do and they do it quite well. If you’ve ever been to the gym and you see someone super lean, as for them if they have a low carb day. I can almost guarantee that they will say yes. Start by going low carb one day every 3-4 days. I’m talking 20% of your typical carb intake within that 24 hour period. Sure, you’ll be hungry but it will be worth it.

5) Have One Cheat Day

Incorporating a cheat day into your diet should help you really boost things. I’m talking about adding an additional 500 calories to your diet. Something that won’t put on too many pounds. You’ve got to still consume foods that are good for you. Don’t go eating a ton of Reese’s peanut butter cups.

6) Adjust Your Training

You are going to want to make changes to your training if you’re trying to lose weight. What I mean is that if you’re on a low rep routine, don’t be afraid to lower the weight and go high rep for a workout. Do those for a whole week to really tweak your system.

7) Get Your Rest

It sounds strange but if you want to get lean, you need to sleep. Your body recovers better when you sleep and your muscles grow during this stage. If you neglect this area, I can almost guarantee that you’ll never be what you had hoped.

These are all simple steps to take if you want to lean out and get fit in just a matter of weeks. Don’t take my word for it. Try things out for yourself! The most important thing to understand here is that you take action and you remain consistent with your actions. Inconsistent people simply don’t look as good as they should or could. That’s just the nature of the beast!
