Himalayan Sea Salt Water Flush

Are you having any type of health problems these days? I’m talking about internally and externally. Let me ask an even more specific question, are you suffering from being constipated? If so, you might need something stronger than the typical high fiber diet to kick things into motion. If so, you’ll want to consider doing a salt water flush.

Lots of people refer to this flush as a salt water cleanse or even a master cleanse session. What this does is help you eliminate toxins and waste that build up in your digestive system and colon. It’s essentially forcing your body to have a bowel movement.

Before I tell you how to go about creating a salt water flush recipe, I want to tell you a little bit about the process.

What most people don’t understand is that the salt plays an enormous role in this process. Some use the term “flush hacking” to describe the use of incorporating this into a cleansing program. It’s grown in popularity over the last fifteen years.

How The Sea Salt Water Flush Works

Here’s how this process works, the mixture of salt, water, and lemon acts jump starts your body’s ability to secrete waste and naturally detox itself. The whole process gets your digestive system back in proper order, functioning like a well-oiled machine. Some folks claim to feel lighter, be in a better mood, and even have more energy.

The flush itself is most effective when completing it on an empty stomach. This makes complete sense given that you’re not looking to eliminate half digested foods that you’ve just consumed. You can do the salt water flush later in the day, just be sure to give yourself a two-hour break from consuming food before doing the flush.

The Ingredients and Process

Performing the sea salt flush is pretty darn simple. You can do this in the comfort of your own home with a few basic ingredients. You’re going to want to purchase some Himalayan salt or what’s commonly referred to as gray salt. You do not want to use iodized salt. Be sure that no iodine has been added to whatever salt you are using. Scoop out two teaspoons of salt and set it aside. You’ll need it shortly.

The next thing you’ll want to do is heat up one liter of filtered water. Make sure the water is hotter than room temperature but not too hot, definitely not boiling! The water should be cooler than your daily cup of tea or coffee.

Find yourself a glass jar or container that you can close up tightly. Pour the salt, water, and a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice into the jar. Shake the mixture until it dissolves. Make sure that the salt has completely dissolved.

Shoot that sea salt mixture down the hatch and drink it all within a five minute period. At this point, your stomach is now filled with the sea salt cleanse and it’s ready to get to work. You’ll want to relax and gently massage your stomach for about 20 to 30 minutes. Doing so helps you stomach better absorb the salt.

You will begin to feel the urge to have to have a bowel movement. At the point where you can no longer hold out, you’ll want to go to the bathroom. You will likely need to go to the bathroom on a number of occasions after drinking the mixture so stay close to the bathroom. That’s the entire process!

Some people recommend that you begin taking probiotics after doing a cleanse. They say it can help healthy bacteria to form within the digestive system.

In summary, here’s what you need:

– Two Teaspoons Himalayan Salt
– Glass Container w/ Lid
– One Liter of Filtered Water
– Two Tablespoons Lemon Juice

Heat the water.
Add the ingredients.
Mix it up until salt is dissolved.
Drink it.
Massage your stomach.
Have a few bowel movements.
Take a probiotic.

Viola! You’ve got your sea salt flush and cleanse completed.

Is It Good For Your Skin?

In my personal opinion, I believe that this type of cleanse is very good for your skin, assuming that you’re staying well hydrated while doing the cleanse. Be sure to take precautions to ensure that you’re not becoming dehydrated as a result of the cleanse. Assuming you’re not, then removing toxins and bad bacteria from your body is always a win in my book. GOOD LUCK!
