Let’s be honest, most people have no intentions of overdoing on New Year’s Eve but stranger things have happened right? Well, my partying days are over, but for those that plan on “getting after it” to ring in the new year, I’ve got just the thing for you. Chances are that all of that champagne, binge effort, copious amounts of Grey Goose (or whatever you fancy) are going to take a tool on your skin.
Ways To Cure Your Skin Hangover From New Year’s Eve Partying
I’ll make one thing clear, you’re not getting an sympathy from me if you do decide to party your way into 2017. Whatever it is that you do, if you go too hard, then chances are your skin isn’t going to look pretty on January 1, 2017. New Year’s hangovers suck as is, so why make matters worse and look bad too. The good news is that I’ve done my research and I know what works and what doesn’t to help you looking better than ever before. If you want to bring your skin back to life after dismantling it in party mode, here’s how you do it…
The first thing I want you to start with is a simple hydrating mask of some sort. This will do wonders for your skin, not to mention, it will actually make you feel better too. A hydrating mask can often help remove toxins from your skin and moisturize and dry or damaged skin. To be honest, this mask may do the trick better than anything and you may even feel your hangover go away just from applying this mask alone. If you want, you can incorporate some manuka honey into your mask treatment as well. Some folks prefer to give themselves a 5-10 minute facial using the steam from the shower to help open up their pores. As a result, your pores will be less clogged than before.
The next thing you can do is begin eating foods that contain lots of water. You need to hydrate your body and the best way to do that is to both eat and drink water. Think about consuming watermelon, eggplant, cucumber, broccoli and apples. These injunction with a few bottles of smart water should do the trick just fine. Most importantly, don’t forget to crush some water before you go to bed as well. It’s one of the most important things you can do and the best way to avoid a bad hangover.
While you’re at it, before bed, why not put on some high-quality moisturizer as well. This will kick start the recovery process and replenish your skin with many nutrients that it needs to stay fresh looking.
Not to be a party pooper, but the best way to avoid all of this is simply not partying hard at all. Limit yourself as far as alcohol intake is concerned and if you can, just avoid it completely. Your body and skin will be very thankful the next day!
