If there’s one person or a group of people that I pay close attention to it’s the wonderful folks over at Google. Suffice to say that it’s the most widely used search engine on the planet. Honestly, I can’t even tell you how many people collectively search online making skin care queries on a daily basis. However, what I can tell you is that I got my hands on a fantastic report that Google recently published about the industry and what seems to be trending.
Google Beauty Trends Report of 2017
I learned quite a bit about the market trends and what consumers are looking for based on the report alone. There were are few things trending within the United States that really caught my attention.
For starters, it seems like masks are becoming insanely popular. They’re trending like never before within the U.S. Market and you should not be surprised if you see more brands creating new mask products in the near future. Based on the report that I read, it seems like the most popular types of masks trending upward at a sustainable rate are turmeric masks, dead sea mud masks, and bentonite clay masks. If you haven’t heard of any of those types of facial masks, then do a couple searches for them.
Now, what’s falling off the cliff? Seems like some specific types of products might be on the decline today and they’re falling fast and hard. When is the last time you applied seaweed lotion to your skin? How about baking soda under your eyes or maybe going in for a skin bleaching treatment? Guess what, they are all on the decline and they’re falling fast. If you want proof, then I encourage you to check out this report to learn more about what’s trending in your country.
Curious what devices are trending in the U.S. as well? I’ve got a list of them thanks to this report! It seems like the body brush and face scrubber are trending the most today. I’ve not personally used either of those types of products so I can’t comment on how useful they are. However, we’re dealing with big data trends here and you don’t need my personal opinion to know what to shop for these days.
There is, of course, a lot more that I could report on this data (as I love data) but I can’t do it all! Do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with everything that I’ve mentioned. Knowledge is power and it can often lead to better-looking skin, good luck!
If you’ve got something that you’d like to share with us about the report or just your own personal opinion on it. Please let us know, we’d love to hear from you.
