HSN is getting in to the lucrative wellness business. It is now launching products from Golden Door Spa. That is a famous California based mind and body retreat. This is set to begin next month, January 2017. Golden Door Spa hosts about three dozen people per week in its massive 600 acre property. They focus on exercise, nutrition and spa treatments. Golden Door’s natural beauty products will be sold on HSH.
Golden Door Spa will launch a number of products like cleansers, scrubs, serums, masks and a daily renewal treatment. All these will be featured on HSN and the distribution is expected to add about $1 million to $2 million in annual sales to Golden Door Spa according to our industry sources.
Golden Door Spa Products Have Compelling Clinicals And Before And Afters
Alicia Valencia, senior vice president of beauty merchandising at HSN said; “It’s all about health, inner beauty and outer beauty. It’s a beautiful place but the luxury is in how they treat their guests and the message. When we really sat down with the [research and development] folks and tried the products…we were quite frankly surprised that they were using a lot of natural ingredients and that they were able to get the clinicals and the claims they were able to get…what is really compelling is when you show before and afters.”
Kathy Van Ness, the CEO of Golden Door Spa said; ““It’s a really interesting conversation to take a world famous resort spa and have the wellness conversation about your skin and your body with us. We have a real story to tell because we do this every single week…we want to be able to communicate with guests beyond the golden doors…there’s this way of taking what we do here on the property and extending it externally. We are a luxury property.”
