Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo

When most people think about skin care, they often neglect to think about their hair, especially the products that you apply on your hair. I’ve been doing a significant amount of research on various shampoos and one of the brands I’ve recently discovered was the Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo.

Now, I don’t suggest going out and buying any of these products just yet. Instead, you’re far better off reading this review to get a better idea and point of view of the product line in general. Let me ask you a question, you don’t just purchase creams and serums without researching them, right? Well, the same should apply to hair products. The good news is that I’ve shared a bunch of information below on the product line to help you make better buying decisions.

A Clearer View Of Garnier Whole Blends Shampoos

The title says a “view,” but I’ve literally turned this article into a full-fledged review. You’ll quickly find out as you continue reading. I present the main pros and cons related to Garnier’s Whole Blends product line, which primarily offers shampoos, conditioners, and a few treatment masks.

The Garnier brand has brought some high-quality products to the market, and it should come as no surprise that the Garnier brand of shampoos is the most sold brand in France. Why? Well, based on my research, the company behind this is based in France. If it’s good for the French, then perhaps there’s no doubt about the quality and reliability of the products for us living in the United States. However, we assume nothing here and do our research to find out the facts.

The products are made with high-quality ingredients. This shampoo line has a surprisingly affordable price range too. Depending on the retailer your, the shampoo, conditioner and treatment mask range from $6 to $9. Price varies based on the size of the package.

Regardless, I’d have to say that it’s perhaps the most affordable shampoo product line I’ve come across to date.

Okay, enough about the price, it’s time to dive deeper and disclose the pros and cons of the Garnier Whole Blends product line. Here’s what you need to know if you want to make the most informed decision possible before buying any products.

The Pros

High-quality products.

Seeing as though the Garnier brand is a subsidiary of L’Oreal, and knowing that L’Oreal is known for its premium hair care treatments, it is quite obvious why the Garnier Whole Blends product line would retain the same level of quality.

The engineers and chemists that are responsible for the high-quality formulas of L’Oreal are also working in tandem on the Garnier Whole Blends products. This ensures that you’re getting a premium quality formula at a very affordable price.

Natural ingredients that retain the moisture of the hair and scalp.

There are plenty of natural ingredients like propolis, coconut water, vanilla milk, green tea, extracts from apple and cranberry, argan, coconut and avocado oils, as well as cocoa and shea butter. All of the ingredients are found in the more expensive professional hair care products that exist today. The people at Garnier have spared no expense and have indeed incorporated these ingredients in their products because they know consumers demand them.

Garnier Whole Blends don’t contain paraben.

Rarely one can find paraben-free hair care products in this price range, but it seems that Garnier Whole Blends has pulled this off. I believe they did this due to the many customer concerns related to the toxicity of parabens. There are plenty of findings that link parabens to allergies and even worse, more serious health concerns.

The Cons

The packaging.

The Garnier Whole Blends come packed in a somewhat large and not very easy to handle bottle. Even though the two sizes of bottles e.g. 370 ml and 650 ml are not very voluminous, the design is such that it takes up a lot of space on the standard shampoo shelf in any shower. But, overall, you’ll make room if you want it bad enough.

It’s fragrance centric.

Even though the fragrance is a must-have in these kinds of products, I think that the creators of Garnier Whole Blends have gone a little overboard. Seeing as the chemicals that make up the fragrances can cause allergic reactions, these products can do with a little less scent, or maybe even a fragrance-free option even, that would be nice.

A confusing product selection.

Whole Blends product offers come in six different formulas. As a person that likes to try new things, I find this somewhat confusing. Three of the offered six choices are relatively straightforward: color care for dyed hair, refreshing for dry scalp, nourishing for damaged hair.

The other three are the confusing product options: smoothing that tames and controls your hair, hydrating that quenches and softens the hair and repairing that heals and protects the hair. And which one to select? Well, you can try any one of these three and find the best solution for your hair.

Amazon Listings

I took a close look at the product listings on and learned that there are tons of options out there no matter what you’re looking for. Not to mention, the ratings are pretty solid. For example, the Garnier Whole Blends Coconut Cocoa Butter Shampoo and Conditioner is actually listed as Amazon’s Choice and rated a 4.3 out of 5.0. This particular product is ranked in the top 300 shampoos on Amazon.

Keep in mind that they have thousands of products listed too! I took a look at some of the most recent reviews and they are pretty positive. Most of which are nothing but five stars and they should be for the price I guess. You’ll spend more at Starbucks throughout the course of a week versus buying a month supply of this. Check out the reviews I’ve posted below to learn more about this particular product.
