It’s that time of the year again. As the cold winter months set upon us, we find ourselves crammed into heated spaces with an insane amount of germs floating around. Most of you probably haven’t been sick yet, but you’re bound to be at some point or another.

I hate to sound like a Debbie-downer but that’s the truth of it all. Along with achieving the unwanted winter flu, you may find yourself looking worse than ever before. The common fights will consist of fighting off runny noses, dull gray skin, chapped lips, red noses, dark circles under eyes and more. The good news is that you can fight the ugly sight with just a small amount of effort.

How To Overcome The Flu Face Look

There are a few things that you can and should be doing to help improve your looks while having the flu.

First thing is first, let’s get rid of those dark circles under your eyes. Chances are you’re not sleeping well and you’re in desperate need of some antioxidants as quickly as possible. I’d suggest trying something a product like this to obtain those necessary antioxidants. That’ll give your skin a boost and kick things off in the right direction.

The next thing that I would do is attack the nose which likely looks worse than Rudolph. One thing you need to be sure to do is to moisturize the heck out of it. Oh, and you need to do this while you’re sleeping. Think about incorporating some sort of night cream or balm that’s really effective in healing extra dry skin. It’s important to incorporate this during the evening while you sleep so that you can get the best results. When you’re awake, you’re likely irritating the area and you can count on it getting worse if you don’t put forth the effort to moisturize your skin.

The next thing that you want to tackle is your grayish looking skin. The combination of having the flu and dull-looking skin can really make you feel horrible. I know it sounds counter productive when sick but what you want to do is get some light exercise in to help increase blood circulation. You can also try incorporating a face mask to add some energy to your face.

One other thing that I want you to do is to invest in a good chapstick. So many people spend time licking their lips and it makes things far worse.

If it were me, I’d go out and confirm that I have all these things available to use during the winter months. You never know when you’re going to end up with the flu and it’s better to be prepared than sorry!
