Spring Break can be a really fun time! It can also be the worst thing in the world when it comes to skin and protecting it. If you’re spending your spring break having some fun in the sun then you’ll want to follow some of these tips to help protect your skin.
Spring Break Skin Care Tips From Tamah Krinsky
#1 Lose The Makeup
If you’re a lover of makeup, Tamah recommends that you give your face a rest over your break and wear less than usual. This especially goes for those that are out in the sun. You’re going to eventually start melting and it’s not going to be pretty for others nor will it be pretty for your skin. Just give it a rest.
#2 Apply SPF
I can’t stress how important it is that you apply SPF daily and even multiple times a day if you’re spending a lot of time at the beach. I must sound like a broken record given the number of times I’ve mentioned how important it is over the past couple of months. It’s so crucial. You don’t want to have to deal with any skin cancer issues and it’s certainly not worth sacrificing your good looks now for something much worse in the future.
#3 Apply A Bronzer
No, I’m not talking about the bronzer that amplifies your tanning, turning you into a dark brown. I’m talking about the bronzer that leaves you looking like you’ve just stepped out of a tanning bed without putting your body at risk. Stay away from all tanning beds and apply a bronzer to give you the same look instead.
#4 Small Bag of Products on Hand
If you’re out and about doing your thing in an exotic location, I recommend that you put time into packing a small bag of skin care products so that you can be prepared at all times in the event that you need something.
#5 Stay on Course
If you’re currently on a skin care program that requires using some special high quality products then I recommend that you continue to use those products as much as possible while on spring break. That means even if you’re going out and partying all night, you should still make an honest effort to apply the night cream that you normally would.
Lastly, as an added bonus, I’d like to recommend that you make sure to consume as much water as possible while on your spring break trip. Dehydration is the worst and can really do a number on both your skin and body.
Have fun and be safe!
