Five Tips To Prep Your Skin For School

Here are five very important tips and tricks that will help gear your skin up for the classroom. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered here!

Strong Routine
If you want good looking skin for the new school year then you’ve got to get back into the swing of things. That means starting with a strict and strong skin care routine. All those nights where you skipped out on washing your face must come to an end. You’ve got to practice good morning and evening skin car habits. Don’t be afraid to incorporate a deep cleanser that’s oil-based for your evening routine. Cleansing oils sound strange but a good natural oil can be better for your skin versus using a harsh acne wash or scrub.

Say Goodbye To Dirt And Grime
You’ve got to once again begin using an exfoliator at least once or twice a week. Don’t exfoliate too much but just enough to keep your skin clear of all those dead cells, dirt, and grime. My recommendation would be to start with something less invasive than the traditional exfoliating scrubs. You want to use a dual action product that’s going to remove excess dirt while at the same time moisturize your skin.

Hydrate Your Skin
Over the course of the summer, the sun has most likely dehydrated your skin. This can cause serious problems and can even make your overall complexion look dull. If you want vibrant, happy looking skin for the first day of school then you’ve got to properly hydrate! There are hydrating masks that you can incorporate into your routine. These will help repair your skin by reducing inflammation and repairing collagen. Pick up a hydrating mask gel at the local beauty shop and you’ll be good to go!

Say Bye To Creams, Hello To Serums
Using a serum daily can really do wonders for your skin. There are so many types of serums that exist out there today. Chances are that you’ll be able to match your overall skin condition with a specific serum. Another added benefit to using a serum versus a cream is that they are typically more lightweight.

Water, Water and More Water
The best thing you can do to help improve your overall skin and health is to put down the soda and stick to water only. I recommend drinking at least 8-12 glasses of water per day. There’s no need to consume gallons of water on a daily basis but you need to stay hydrated if you want to look good in the classroom. It’s one of the many things that even the most popular runway models preach about.
