If you’re skin feels like a it’s losing its strength, then you need to firm things up a bit. There is no getting around the process of aging, it’s going to happen at one point or another. However, you can do you best to try and keep things tight when it comes to your skin.
We all know that when you put forth time and effort in the gym that it can help build your muscle strength, tone your body and make you look healthier. The problem is that you can’t always take the same approach with your skin.
Good news for you, there are things that you can do to your face and skin in order to tighten things up. I’ll tell you what doesn’t work, just applying a bunch of lotion or night cream and hoping that everything is going to work like a charm while you get your beauty rest. However, there are a few things that you can attempt to do if you want to tighten up your skin. I’ve done my best to share the top three actions that you can take to make strides towards better looking and tighter skin. Here’s what you need to know.
Three Things To Firm, Tone and Tighten Your Skin
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the actions that you can consider taking. Will they all work? Maybe, maybe not. It really depends on the person. What I can say is that you’re far better off doing something versus not taking any action at all. So pay close attention to these few techniques listed below.
Sounds weird I know but it would be in your best interest to apply omega-3s to your skin. There are oils out there that are rich in omega-3 which are pretty incredible for your skin. Think of all the foods that we consume which contain essential fatty acids (EFAs). Flaxseed, cranberry seed, hempseed, and more. If you can work these oils in topically as well as dietary, then you’ve got a good chance of obtaining plumper and tighter looking skin.
Start Dry Brushing
For those unfamiliar with it, dry brushing is one of those techniques that helps promote cell renewal. It encourages further breaking down of lipids and this injunction with the cell renewal can help firm up your skin. The brushing assists with stimulating a slow lymphatic system which is a crucial component. Think of it like this, your cells produce waste and the lymphatic system helps remove that waste. Dry brushing helps push things along and really take things to another level here. Start incorporating it and you’ll be glad that you did.
Next on the list is getting starting with some exfoliating. Truthfully, you should be doing this already as we’ve harped about it for many years now. If you want firmer skin, then start to exfoliate and start now! What this process does is it helps remove any dead or dying skin cells which are stuck on the surface of your skin. Removing these dead cells allows your skin to regenerate new cells quicker. This all happens through collagen stimulation.
Start working in some natural body scrubs which contain sugar, salt, coffee, and other types of rough ingredients. You can do this in the comfort of your own home even.
If you’re not doing these three things then you’re doing a disservice to your skin. It’s really as simple as that. Start taking action and firm things up, pronto!
