Essential Tips For Summer Skin Care For Oily Skin

I know, it seems like summer is so far away but I personally think it’s important that I do my part and lay the groundwork for healthy skin during those hot summer months. These tips are especially important if you have oily skin.

Summer Skin Care Tips

If you have oily skin, you’re going to want to look into purchasing a cleanser that’s on the less harsh side for the hot summer days. Using a harsh cleanser can dry out your face and give it a somewhat stretchy feeling. This is not good in any way shape or form. A light cleanser will do the exact opposite. In fact, it will likely do you good to use something less harsh on your skin.

The next tip I have for you in order to prepare for those hot summer days is to gear up and grab a high-end moisturizer. If you have oily skin, you’re going to want to use a moisturizer. I know, it sounds strange and you’re probably thinking that your skin is moist enough (due to being oily) but you can’t leave this out of your regimen.

I’m also going to recommend that you exfoliate your skin at least twice per week. If you’re looking to avoid the build up of dead skin cells, clogging of pores and all that jazz, then you should begin using a nice exfoliator at least twice per week.

If you’re using a cleanser that contains Salicylic acid as one of the main ingredients, then you are in luck. This ingredient is considered to be great for exfoliating your skin.

One more thing…for gosh sakes, please do yourself a favor and wear sunscreen every single day! If you’re not wearing sunscreen daily by now then you need to start, immediately!

Now, you must always remember that it’s your body and you need to understand exactly how it’s reacting to certain ingredients and treatments. Take note of the products you are using during the hot summer days and try your best to determine which are actually best for you to incorporate. Those that yield the best results seem like a no-brainer to me. Whenever you’re in doubt, you can always just contact me and I’ll do my best to help out. Most importantly, take some action and prepare for summer today!
