Did you watch the Oscars last night? I’m not here to get into the slip ups or the silly acts, mainstream media has been covering plenty of that nonsense all day long. Instead, I’m here to talk about what I know most about and that’s skin care products.
When it came time to hit the read carpet, I’m sure you didn’t know that many of the celebs walking the red carpet were sporting some basic skin products that can be picked up at the local drugstore.
I’ve got the skinny on all that stuff and I am definitely going to do my best to share it with you today.
Drugstore Beauty Products Celebs Used For Oscars Prep
There’s nothing like free advertising from a celebrity on the red carpet. I mean seriously, there is literally nothing that’s even close to it! When a celebrity voluntarily shares information about the products that they are using, it’s something that you want to pay close attention towards and maybe think about trying one or two of the products I’m about to share with you.
Let me start with Nicole Kidman. According to Glamour, Nicole decided to use a bunch of Neutrogena products (even though some have harmed consumers skin.). Well, the products were applied by a specialist, but she used the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Regenerating Cream, Hydro Boost Serum, and the Hydro Boost Gel-Cream. All these Neutrogena products can easily be found at the local drugstore.
Moving right along here with Scarlett Johansson, she decided to incorporate the Suave Professionals Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Salt Spray to help make her hair look absolutely perfect. Her hairstylist, Jenny Cho was in charge of bringing her hair to life and she did a great job if I do say so myself!
This last drugstore product trick was somewhat genius. Janelle Monae’s makeup artist decided to mix a powdered bronzer with some moisturizer in order to further intensify her cheek bones. She went for the infamous CoverGirl line using the CoverGirl truBlend Bronzer in Bronze injunction with her moisturizer. I know, it’s a different approach but it seemed to work for her.
One thing I can say is that almost every celebrity that I saw on TV looked absolutely fabulous. After all, it’s hard to look bad when you’re willing to pay a pretty penny for help to look good. The good news, they spent it on specialists versus expensive products.
I’m curious as to whether or not any of the products used were the same products that were showcased in the Academy Awards Swag bags. I’m sure no celebrity was willing to take a chance at ruining their skin just by chance that the swag bag products don’t respond well to their skin.
I’m sure there were some celebs that stuck to their guns so to speak in preparation for the event. For example, I woud not be surprised if Drew Barrymore went with the face mask treatment before the show. There are plenty of treatments, products and tricks of the trade that these celebs could do to look better than ever before, there’s a good chance they did it.
