Do Skin Care Checklists Really Help?

If you are anything like me, then you know how important it is to stay organized. I’m somewhat of a neat freak that likes processes and order on a daily basis. Assuming you are striving for the same, I’ve got something that I want to share with you.

skin care checklist

Let me start by asking a simple question…

Do you have any drawer or cabinet that’s filled with a ton of skin care product? Perhaps a drawer chock full of moisturizers, serums, lotions, masks, tools and more? Am I close? I know you have that and if you tell me any different then you’re lying to me.

I’d be willing to bet good money that you’ve even got products that people or companies have sent you in the mail to test. Perhaps samplers that you picked up at the local beauty shop. You’ve accumulated all this stuff in hopes of improving the condition of your skin.

Guess what, that drawer or cabinet is nothing other than money that you’ve flushed down the drain. I did the exact same thing for years, hoping to come across a product that just resonates with me and works perfectly.

Too often are the times in which we purchase beauty products thinking that they are going to be the cure of the century! These quick fixes most often don’t work at all. Either that or they are forgotten even after just a couple of uses.

The truth of the matter is that most skin care products require daily use. Building up a habit one can apply or using a product daily, isn’t that difficult. All you need to do is make a list and commit! I’ve got some suggestions for you and others that want to get laser focused on their skin to make progress. Don’t worry, it’s not as difficult as I’m making it sound.

Skin Care Checklist Commitment

What you need to do is write everything down that you include in your beauty routine. No, it’s not enough to simply catalog it all in your head. Instead, physically write everything down so that you have a record of it all.

Separate each part into AM or PM products and activities.

Your list should look something like this:

AM:
Step 1: Product name
Step 2: Product name
Step 3: Product name
Step 4: Product name
Step 5: Product name
Step 6: Product name

PM:
Step 1: Product name
Step 2: Product name
Step 3: Product name
Step 4: Product name
Step 5: Product name
Step 6: Product name
Step 7: Product name
Step 8: Product name
Step 9: Product name

Now, what’s most important is that you keep that list handy when you go through your routine. What you’ll begin to notice is that some of the products might work better than others and you may begin to better understand which are most effective.

Oh and to answer the question that I asked to kick things off, yes, skin care lists work way better than not using one!

Last but not least, make sure you keep your body hydrated throughout the entire day. If you need a little reminder, then might I suggest checking out this iPhone app!

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!
