DNA Tests To Determine Which Serum To Use?

I say it all the time because it’s true, we are advancing at a dramatic speed when it comes to skin care technology. Every single day it seems like new products are entering the market. People are flocking to the stores to get their hands on the latest and greatest products. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any stranger, they did. People are now taking DNA tests in order to determine which skin care products are best for them.

DNA Kit Tests Skin Type

Is it possible that the days of simply visiting the local dermatologist are over? Well, it’s quite possible that Christen Michel is hoping that is going to be the case. In fact, he might be betting on it!

Christen Michel recently met with Fox News to explain how the kit works. She explained that a DNA package exists on the site that you can purchase and it will rank you within five aging categories.

Once you’ve been ranked within those five categories, you are supposed to know the exact skin products to use. Essentially, this allows you to completely eliminate that pesky trial and error process that we all have gone through.

The Kit isn’t cheap. It costs $350 for the kit called “Targeted Skin” and it takes roughly ten days to fully analyze the sample and process the results.

I’m going to be completely upfront with you and state that I am a bit skeptical. If the genetic test is supposed to be as accurate as one would assume, why can it not tell me the specific products that I personally need to use versus just placing me in an aging category? It’s quite possible that this is just another smart marketing tactic to get them to sell more skin care products. I’m not saying that it is for sure, I am just a bit skeptical. I will stick to visiting my dermatologist for professional advice until this type of testing becomes more reliable.

I also want to share a personal belief that I have when it comes to skin care. I feel as though good skin care is no different than dieting. Not every diet works for everyone. Everyone’s body reacts differently to products. In the event that you truly want to achieve perfect skin, I believe you must take action and try things until you find what works for you. It’s as simple as that really.

I’d love to hear from anyone that’s gone through with this process of submitting their DNA to determine their aging category. If you have completed this process please feel free to email us to discuss the process. Don’t worry, we will never share your name or personal information with anyone. You can trust us here!
