A weightier option is to go in for beeswax along with the Aloe Vera. The Beeswax has to be half the quantity of the Aloe Vera. Almond oil or grape seed oil has to be taken in an equivalent proportion as the Beeswax. The Beeswax has to be melted and then the Aloe Vera mix has to be added.

Here is the detailed list of the ingredients and the procedure.

½ cup Coconut Oil

½ cup Aloe Vera Gel

¼ cup Beeswax

  • Mildly heat the coconut oil and beeswax. Both should melt and combine well together while not being heated too much
  • Place the melted mix in a larger bowl
  • Let it cool
  • Add the Aloe Vera Gel gradually
  • Blend it well using a hand mixer or a blender
  • Repeat the whipping

If you prefer your lotion to be aromatic, there are very few ingredients that can beat peppermint. You can use both cocoa butter and the costlier shea butter to create this wonderful lotion with a teaspoon of peppermint extract. A quarter of a teaspoon of peppermint extract is enough. The cocoa butter and the shea butter are taken in a quarter cup and a similar amount of coconut oil is added to the mix.

With cream, you can add avocado and honey to make up a lotion that is very effective as a moisturizer. The cream and the honey have to be taken in a proportion of 3 to 1 while a quarter avocado will do it. You can leave it on for about an hour and then wash it off with warm water.

If you want to create a lotion which has extra value and resolves the particular problems that you face, you can start out with baby lotion and add ingredients that make it a far superior product. After taking the required amount of baby cream, you need to add virgin coconut oil and vitamin E cream each in a quarter of the proportion of the baby cream.

Coconut oil and Essential Oils make up a great combination as well. For those looking to get vitamins into their lotion, Vitamin C powder is a great way to create a healthy lotion. Mix it up with vegetable glycerine and you have a lotion that is all about the positive effects of Vitamin C.

Glycerine can be combined with rosewater and lemon juice to make a concoction that softens your skin and adds luster to it. You need to mix glycerine and rosewater in the same quantity and lemon juice in a quarter percentage to the other two. This combo is very effective to heal marks on the skin as well as to cure acne. You will be looking young over the years when you use this combo regularly.

If you are having trouble with your sleep, you can add lavender oil to coconut oil and beeswax and create a cream that lulls you into sleep.

Finally, you can try out different combinations of butters with Sweet Almond Oil as a standard formula.
