It’s Monday, which means it’s a new week and the perfect time to start doing something for yourself. I’m sure you probably consume bad food all weekend. Chances are you likely stayed out too late and didn’t rest enough to rejuvenate your skin. If you’re the type that prefers to spend their time partying and not getting the rest and recovery needed, then you need to read this.

Your daily eating habits may help with the process and they may even have you looking younger than ever before. Do your body a favor and defy time by incorporating these foods into your diet. Each food listed can help you fight the inevitable aging process. However, one always must remember that too much of anything is not a good thing. A Few Foods To Consume That Will Help You Look Younger

Consuming these foods will have you looking younger than ever before. Not to mention, you might actually enjoy eating a few of them! Full disclosure, I typically would have included guacamole in this but I’ve already recently gone over the benefits of eating guacamole because I love it!

Coffee
Starting your morning without coffee sounds like a nightmare to some people. Jump starting your day with some coffee isn’t a bad idea at all. What many may not know is that coffee contains ingredients that have been known to boost immune systems, protect the skin from melanoma and also protect from other things that can cause further damage. It’s not terrible for you to drink 1 – 4 cups of coffee per day. In fact, you may actually burn a little bit of fat if you consume it injunction with a healthy diet and workout regimen.

Sweet Potato
I’m currently on a baked sweet potato wedges kick that I’ve been loving. I use the entire sweet potato (skin and all). Consuming sweet potatoes can help you boost up your vitamin C levels. Sweet potatoes also contain something known as beta carotene. Your body naturally turns beta-carotene into vitamin A.

If you didn’t know, vitamin A helps you fight cancer due to its powerful antioxidant properties. Not to mention that digestive benefits of eating sweet potatoes. The fiber-rich vegetable is a staple for many that choose to live a healthy lifestyle. Sweet potato also contains vitamin E. This vitamin is one that many apply to their skin in an attempt to look younger and it works.

Grapes
These little fibrous fruits pack a mean punch in the antioxidant department. Grapes, although high in sugar are very good for your heart and circulatory system. They are also good for your liver and help you detox your body. That’s not to say eating a thousand grapes is good for you but it does help clean your liver out. Grapes also contain a lot of potassium which helps keep your skin hydrated and well moisturized.

Lobster
Who doesn’t like lobster? I mean, besides those who might be allergic to shellfish. Good news for those not allergic, shellfish has anti-inflammatory properties which help reduce the inflammation of problematic skin areas affected by acne. Lobster also contains significant amounts of zinc which is said to help speed up the skin cell renewal process.

Watermelon
If you like to eat a lot of watermelon, then un be known to you, you are consuming lots of lycopene. The good news is that lycopene does a good job of protecting skin from damage that can be caused by exposure to UV rays. Although an extremely small impact, it can even help boost the effect that your sunscreen has on your skin.

Eggs
Eating eggs means that you’re consuming a lot of protein. Eggs contain biotin, vitamin B and other things that help keep your skin healthy looking. They are loaded with amino acids and we all know those are the building blocks of protein. If you want nice looking skin you need to keep it strong looking by eating protein.

Pomegranates
This strange seedy fruit packs a mean punch when it comes to vitamin C. If you didn’t know, most serums contain a significant amount of vitamin C. Reason being, it’s been known to help prevent wrinkles, lines, and dryness from occurring. I really don’t need to get too deep into why vitamin C is so important.

Water
If you want to keep your body hydrated and your skin glowing then you need to drink enough water. Consuming enough water is essential for good circulation, digestion, pH balance, and more. Water helps us rid our bodies of toxins and other harmful substances that we come in contact with on a daily basis.

There are many more foods that are known to help improve our skin, making us look and feel much younger if we consume them. This should be a sufficient amount to get you started on your next trip to the grocery store. Remember, it’s only Monday and that’s the perfect day to take some action after a long weekend of destroying your body!
