If you like living a simple life and approaching things in that manner, then you might want to learn about Cate Blanchett’s morning routine. She’s got some seriously simple, yet healthy morning rituals that you need to know about. If you’re not familiar with who Cate Blanchett is she’s a famous Australian actress that’s pretty awesome at what she does. I’m talking Oscar awesome. Yes, she’s a winner and a powerful actress that’s got everything going for her.
Cate Blanchett’s Morning Routine Is Simple Yet Perfect
Before I get to that though, did you know she was even an ambassador of a skin care brand called SK-II?
Yes, she’s done a lot over the years and given all that her skin and body still look flawless. One thing I can say about Cate is that she does things a bit differently versus what the typical person. According to sources, she likes to stay up late and enjoys her quiet time to reflect on things. I really can’t say that I blame her on that one bit.
While reflecting, she gets everything prepared for the morning. Remember, prepping for kids isn’t easy so she gets it done the night before. This means less to do in the morning and less stress I’m guessing.
Even though she preps in the evening, her time is still relatively limited in the morning. She typically kicks things off with some hot water and lemon to get things going. Then she’s having a cup of coffee to wake up a bit. Her routine is one that many would refer to as a cleanse and cafe.
There are times when she does go to sleep with makeup on. I’m guessing it only happens on rare occasions but nevertheless, it happens. When it does, she immediately washes her face first thing in the morning. On normal occasions, she simply washes her face before bed and that’s that. If she’s been wearing makeup all day long, she typically opts for the SK-II oil-based cleanser.
As far as makeup is concerned, she doesn’t wear makeup in the morning at all. Cate Blanchett’s time is so limited as is, this would require more time just to put all that on. Accordingly, to a recent publication, she even claimed to be a bit lazy, which is one of the reasons why she’s avoided applying makeup in the morning.
Instead, she opts for a different routine, one that caters to her skin versus destroys it. She typically goes for a serum, moisturizer, and then some sunscreen. The actress is all about protecting her skin from the sun using an SPF 50 and doing her best to stay out of the direct sunlight.
Cate’s skin care and daily routine may seem a bit bland, boring, dull, simple or whatever you want to call it. However, it most definitely works for her and it’ll work for you as well if you just give it a shot.
We often forget that it’s the little things that make most of the difference here. Consistency is so important when it comes to anything related to your body. If you’re willing to spend the time to look and feel your best, chances are you’ll get back what you put into it tenfold.
If we had to make a decision of adopting one of Cate’s daily actions, I’d say applying the sunscreen would be the number one thing. That task is so crucial and impactful, especially when it comes to dealing with looking younger. Put in the work, don’t be lazy and you’ll see results. Maybe not today, not tomorrow, but soon enough you will reap the benefits of caring for your skin.
