How To Get Rid Of Your Butt Acne

Women all over the world are having to deal with buttne aka acne on their booty, especially all those that workout on a regular basis. Zits that end up blossoming on your booty is painful and quite annoying, really.

This type of acne is often not even really acne. Most of the time it’s actually hair follicles that get infected which has a medical term called folliculitis.

What typically causes this condition? Based on my research, it’s a lot of chafing and sweating that causes this condition on your backside. This is why most women that sport leggings and workout a lot often develop butt acne more than others.

Don’t think for a second that you need to stop working out. Trust me, that’s not the answer. Prevention and fixing your acne issues is pretty easy. I’ve got a few things that you can do to whip your booty back into shape and keep it acne free!

Shower Immediately After Workouts

The biggest mistake that people make is not showering immediately following their workout session. It’s best if you shower right after you finish your workout. Doing so helps you remove all the sweat, dirt, grime, oil, and all the other buildup that exists. Be sure to use Dove for sensitive skin or some other cleanser that’s gentle on your skin.

Incorporate Salicylic Acid

I strongly suggest working in some salicylic acid into your treatment or regimen in order remove your butt acne. You can use Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Cleansing Pads to fight off the buttne. The pads also incorporate beta hydroxy acid (BHA) into the formula and as a result, it helps remove dead skin cells and excess oil that typically builds up.

Wash With Benzoyl Peroxide

I’m sure you’re not grabbing a benzoyl peroxide cleanser to wash your butt, but you really should. Treating your booty with some benzoyl peroxide can help fight off folliculitis and acne. This will work well to remove your acne but you must be careful and only use white towels because it can cause bleaching issues.

Moisturize Your Backside

Using a lactic acid moisturizer like AmLactin Body Lotion can help hydrate your skin and exfoliate the dead skin cells on your butt. I know you’re thinking that using a moisturizer can only make things worse, but it can actually help quite a bit.

Don’t Forget To Exfoliate

If you’re not using a glycolic acid exfoliator/cleanser, then you’re not doing all possible to keep your skin pores clear. Glycolic acid in the Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser will help to keep your pore size to a minimum. Using it on your backside can also help lighten any dark spots you might have on your skin. Trust me, it works…so be sure to use it!

If you start to take action now, you should be able to get rid of that butt acne pretty quickly, just in time to show it off on the beach this summer!
