Today I’m going to be reviewing a skin care line called BOOM by Cindy Joseph. I actually first learned about this brand a few years ago while attending an Internet conference. I honestly don’t recall exactly which event it was that I was at. However, what I can say is that it did spark my interest when I first heard about the brand. I’ll do my best to share everything that I know about this brand today. However, I must encourage you to not make any purchasing decisions without reading this full review first.
What Is BOOM By Cindy Joseph?
BOOM is literally a skin care line that was developed by a woman named Cindy Joseph. It’s a line that caters to older women that are more mature in terms of age versus the typical college student. The brand was created by the makeup artist a few years back. One thing you need to know about Cindy Joseph is that she’s a very famous makeup artist as well as a model. In fact, she didn’t even become a working model until reaching 49 years of age! As she began her modeling career, she quickly noticed a void in the market that needed to be filled. There was no one within the beauty and fashion industry that was creating products for mature women. She then decided that it was time to target baby boomers and their needs more so than anyone.
However, just because a product is manufactured for your demographic and age group doesn’t mean that it’s the right product for you. Sure, you might have the perfect connections between the products, your age, and your focus but is your skin right for it? That’s the ultimate question here.
What you must realize is that as you age, your skin changes quite dramatically. If you’re a baby boomer, as you age it may lead to needing more professional skin care other than an over the counter brand. Your issues may not be “fixable” just by using a simple topical cream. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not telling you to avoid this product line completely. I’m simply forewarning you that results may vary and you’ll need to consult with a professional at the very least.
There are some product and ingredients that I’ve like to cover here today with you. One thing that you need to always do before trying a product is carefully inspecting the list of ingredients contained within the products. The formulas can mean the difference between a product that works and one that does not. I’ll be sharing some of the “basics” in terms of ingredients. In the event that you decide to purchase one of the products, I strongly suggest that you read deeper into the applicable formula. Bring the physical product to your dermatologist’s office and see what they have to say about using the product before doing so.
BOOM COTTON – This product doubles as both a body and face moisturizer. The product will leave you with a matte like finish once applied. You’ll notice that this product omits the use of heavy oils which can make creams of all types too greasy to handle. Instead, they’ve included ingredients such as shea butter, witch hazel, jojoba oil, and vitamin E oil. Each one of these ingredients does something to help improve your skin. For example, it may help create a stronger moisture barrier, better tone the skin, repair damaged cells and more. The Boom Cotton will cost $32.00 for two ounces of product.
BOOMSTICK GLO – This product is one that was designed to be used daily. It’s essentially a moisturizing and antibacterial stick that can help you moisturize your skin. The main active ingredient in this is honey, which is a natural moisturizer and antibacterial. The product ingredients also include bee pollen, olive oil, beeswax, and propolis. One single stick costs $27 and you only get one-third of an ounce. Truth be told, it’s a bit pricey but still worth looking into if you fancy honey-based products.
BOOM MASK – This product has a bunch of different ingredients in it, one of which is honey and another that’s royal jelly. There are also some organic diatomaceous earth, blue-green algae, and even pink clay in the product. Yes, it sounds exotic and yes, it is expensive. The product will cost you $42.00 for a two-ounce container.
BOOM SILK – This is basically another moisturizing option for those that wish to apply the product in cream form versus stick application. It’s basically the same exact product as GLO, only it has more liquid to make it cream based. This will cost you about $21 for a two-ounce container.
Buying The Products
Assuming you don’t want to deal with any skin care scams or anything of that nature, then I suggest buying from the site directly. Just search the Internet for “BOOM By Cindy Joseph” and the first result should be the official company website. If not, just type “boombycindyjoseph.com” into the browser.
Buying from the company directly will make it easier for you to take advantage of the company return policy.
If you want to learn more about the products Cindy Joseph makes, then I suggest searching online for more third-party reviews. I strongly suggest you don’t simply rely on the reviews presented on the company website. Most of the time a company will highlight their best reviews and omit those that are negative. They do this in an effort to increase sales. I’m not saying that BOOM By Cindy Joseph is doing this, but you can never be too careful. Always take further action to form your own opinion.
Product Side Effects
Since these products are free from chemicals, fragrances, colors, and other irritating stuff the side effects should be far fewer and minimal. If you have any allergies to plants, then proceed with caution.
This brand may work quite well, but unless you put forth the effort to research the product, determine that you’re a good fit for it, and lastly get confirmation from your dermatologist, then hold off.
