Best Four Saggy Neck Exercises To Reduce Chin Fat


I’m on a mission the month of March and it’s to help others achieve a better neck line. That said, I plan on doing a series on the topic which will encompass many posts related to reducing or eliminating neck fat completely. This is the first post within the series, so if you’re struggling with this issue, then pay close attention! As we all get older, we tend to develop something that I refer to as saggy neck syndrome. It’s basically the accumulation of fat underneath your chin in combination with loose skin that has lost it’s collagen and elastin. In my very personal opinion, it’s nothing to mess around with either. In fact, this type of condition can be earth-shattering in terms of your confidence levels.

The good news is that there are a few saggy neck exercises that you can begin doing to help reduce the presence of this awful looking skin. I hate chin fat and I’m sure I am not alone when I say that the exercises are worth trying. I’d try these before getting any cool sculpting treatment done. Find out what they are and how to do them.

Best Saggy Neck Exercises To Help Reduce Your Chin Fat

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the best exercises that I’ve both researched and done in an attempt to get rid of a saggy neck. Before I get into the exercises, I want to make it clear that it’s very important to get approval from your primary care physician and dermatologist before doing any of these exercises. Better safe than sorry, right!

Tongue Press

The tongue press is a pretty popular saggy neck exercise. To perform this exercise, you need to make sure that your back is straight and that your shoulders are down. Once confirmed, you need to tilt your head straight back so you’re looking up at the ceiling. Now, take your tongue and contact the roof of your mouth. While keeping your tongue on the roof of your mouth, bring your chin down towards your chest, remembering to keep your back straight and not rounded. That’s considered to be one repetition and full movement. Try to complete 10-20 reps of this exercise.

The “O”

This exercise requires that you once again, sit with your back straight and shoulders down. Your lips should be closed but in a relaxed manner. While keeping your lips closed, open your mouth so that it forms somewhat of an “O” shape. Try holding this position for roughly 20-25 seconds. Your neck and jawline will contract, this is exactly what you want to happen. The next step is to relax and bring your chin back towards the starting point of the rep. Perform 20 reps of this exercise.

Chin Rotations

Getting rid of a saggy chin and neck often requires some chin rotations. This exercise is a pretty good one. You can perform this one either standing or seated. Make sure that your back is straight and elongated. You don’t want to do this with poor posture as it can cause more damage on your body if done incorrectly. Once your back is straight, rotate your head in a full circle from shoulders, chest, shoulders, and back. Complete this a total of 10 times. Be sure to alternate directions each rep.

Tongue Stickouts

This is a fun exercise that can help you build muscle in your chin while at the same time, help reduce the presence of saggy neck skin. You can perform this exercise while standing or seated. Open your mouth up as wide as possible and stick your tongue out as far as possible. You should feel your chin start to tighten as you do so. Keep your tongue sticking out for a total of 10 seconds. Then relax and return to the starting position. That’s considered to be one single rep.

These are what I would consider to be the best exercises to perform if you’re looking to get rid of your saggy neck. There are plenty of other types of exercises that you can try to incorporate daily, but I find those mentioned above to the best that I’ve done. Oh, I should also mention that you need to be using some sort of cream that specifically targets this region injunction with the exercises. If not, you’re selling yourself short, plain and simple.
