I’ll start this review off by saying that I had didn’t even know that Beachbody had a skin care line. They’re of course famous for creating workout videos such as P90X and the infamous Insanity which I’ve used in the past. It should be said that one would assume they’re no slouches when it comes to skin care as well.
The Beachbody Derm Exclusive line is a collection of products which have been designed and created by Dr. Andrew Ordon. The line is essentially a wrinkle treatment product line. If you’re interested in how this works, what the whole range consists of and all that jazz, then check out the information below. You’ll quickly learn exactly how this line works.
Beachbody Derm Exclusive – Brand Details
As previously mentioned, this is a large collection of skin care products which have been launched under the Beachbody brand. The company is widely known for being a major player in the home workout niche. The anti-wrinkle cream formulas were developed by Dr. Ordon who is a well-known plastic surgeon.
The product line consists of four main products. They have a repair serum, a fill and freeze treatment, a micro-peel product, and a collagen booster via a moisturizer.
If you take a close look at the sales page provided below, you’ll notice that the brand claims that the products are rather costly when purchased anywhere other than online. The promote the products as if the value is just outstanding though. What I mean by that is you’ll be paying $39 for $150 in value on the low end. At least that’s what they claim.
What Do You Get?
Should you opt to buy the Derm Exclusive skin care kit, you’re going to get a number of different products. Based on my research, the low tier kit comes with four products which contain a 30-supply. Additionally, you’ll get the fill and free pen as a bonus if you buy it on the Beachbody website. That means you’ll be getting five products for only $39. Here’s a quick rundown of each of the products you’ll be getting.
Micro Peel Resurfacing Pads – The micro peel pads are specifically designed to help you cleanse your skin quickly. The pads are convenient and contain ingredients such as salicylic acid, malic acid, glycolic acid along with others that you might be familiar with. Do the pads work? Well, you’ll have to try them for yourself if you’re interested in finding out.
Collagen Lift Moisturizer – The moisturizer is an advanced product that incorporates ingredients such as Renovage, Collaxyl, and Encapsulated Retinol. It’s supposed to help lift your skin and make you “younger looking” in some sort of way. The moisturizer can be used both day and night. If you’re having problems with your skin on your face and around your eyes, then this might be one to consider.
Fill and Freeze Wrinkle Treatment – This product contains ingredients such as Matrixyl 3000, Myoxinol, UGL Anti-Aging Complex, and Argireline. It’s meant to be used as a filler as it basically fills the wrinkles that you have in your skin, freezes them in place helps works over a short period of time but quickly. This is more of an immediate fix or quick fix so to speak.
Intensive Repair Serum – This serum incorporates the use of vitamin C (in two forms), Ultrasomes, and Roxisomes. The idea is that the serum essentially repairs your skin back to good condition and you look younger as a result.
Keep in mind that all the information that I’ve just provided above is related to the lower tiered product. Should you decide to spend more money, you’ll get other add-ons which come with doing just that. I must warn you though, taking the latter approach is going to cost you more money for sure and some of the bundle products aren’t necessarily skin related.
The Advanced Collection option brings a 90-day supply of the products previously mentioned. Then there’s the Derm Exclusive Ultimate Collection which brings a few additional products such as the Facial Cleanser, an eye cream called the Age Reverse Eye Cream, and the Age Defense Moisturizer SPF 24.
Cost Structure Details
If you’re looking to purchase the Beachbody Derm Exclusive products then you’ll want to know how the products are priced. Given that they present the options in payment installments and that it’s an auto-ship aka rebill program, you need to know what you’re getting into.
Take a look at the image posted above again. Do you notice anything strange about the pricing structure? It’s showing the prices in split payments. This type of pricing can be difficult for consumers to digest. They see one thing and automatically think that’s the total cost. The problem here is that it’s definitely not the total cost.
Instead, in some cases, you may be billed a few times depending on the subscription that you enroll in. I’m not a huge fan of skin care subscriptions so I can tell you that I don’t necessarily agree with this entirely. However, I will say that they’ve disclosed the information to you so they’re covered from a legality perspective.
When you make a purchase on Beachbody Derm Exclusive, you’re enrolling in an auto-ship program that does not allow you to back out of it or decline the offer. That’s just how they do business here. Simple as that really. Sure, you can opt to cancel after enrolling but you’ll need to take action and do just that if you wish to do so.
What if you don’t like the program? Well, you’ve got 30 days to ask for a refund. Don’t expect to get reimbursed for shipping costs, because that’s definitely not happening. If you feel more comfortable buying these products on Amazon, you can do that as well as they leave you with that option on the website.
The Doctor Behind This
If you’re not familiar with Dr. Odon he’s a plastic surgeon that is a host on the tv show, The Doctors. What I can confidently say is that he definitely provides lots of information on the show and is well known within the industry. Dr. Odon specifically created this line in order to give consumers an easy way to treat their skin in the comfort of their own home.
Is It Worth Trying?
Well, the claims they make are pretty big and bold. If the Beachbody Derm Exclusive works the way that it claims to work, then it might be a solid winner. I can’t say for sure, but you might want to try it out if you’re that curious about it. What I can say is that I personally find the doctors on the show to be very professional, knowledgeable and quite informed. That holds especially true when it comes to skin care talk and ingredients commonly used in skin products.
