Avene Cicalfate Review

Are you dealing with damaged skin? What about broken skin? If so, then you’ll want to learn about Avene Cicalfate and what it can do for your skin. Many consumers are turning to this product in order to improve the condition of their skin. The first thing that you should know is that the product is manufactured by that Avene brand. This is a French skin care brand that has literally been around for a few hundred years.

The story behind this company goes back to some time in the 1700s. The back story on this is pretty strange. It involves a freely roaming horse, skin issues, thermal spring bathing, and the Cevennes Mountains.

Apparently, the horse had a bad skin condition and it wasn’t improving until the horse began taking baths in the thermal springs.

Years later, Avene decided to take advantage of the healing properties of the thermal springs. They decided to build a brand and incorporate properties of the thermal water into their products. They have a number of skin care lines that they currently create. While this line may help improve your skin, I don’t suggest trying it without getting approval from your dermatologist.

avene cicalfate reviewHow Does Avene Cicalfate Work?

The idea is quite simple when it comes to Avene Cicalfate and how it works. Basically, the product is supposed to best heal any skin that might be damaged or really dry. It’s supposed to be able to heal it nicely. This product and the rest of the products that Avene makes are all developed to incorporate the healing properties of the same thermal springs that healed the horse 300 years ago.

Apparently, it’s the heavy concentration of silicates, neutral pH level and the low mineral count that make this product line so effective.

Curious which products are included within this line? I’ll share them with you. First up, you’ve got the Avene Cicalfate Restorative Cream, The HAND Cream, and last but not least, the POST-PROCEDURE cream. Additionally, they offer a few skin care kits which create a unique skin care routine to help you restore and repair your skin.

The Ingredients

We always like to share as much information about the product line and the specific product that we’re researching as possible. That said, here’s a rundown of everything you need to know about the ingredients in the Avene Cicalfate products.

The first thing you need to know is that all the products within the line contain the thermal water. That’s certainly not the only ingredient that matters though. Below you’ll find a rundown of some of the other ingredients used to create products within the line. I’ll cover each product as in-depth as possible.

Restorative Skin Cream – This first cream is the most popular product within the line. It costs about $20 for a single ounce of product. It was created to help consumers heal their skin when damaged. As previously mentioned, the thermal water is used to create this product. You’ll also find sucralfate and copper-zinc complex on the product label. These two other ingredients help heal the skin. They also help reduce inflammation. If you’re battling a mild burn, rash, scrapes, cuts, or just extra-dry, cracked skin, then this might be the product for you.

HAND Cream – Battling cracked skin on your hands? Then you need the Avene Cicalfate HAND cream. This cream is specially made to help heal your hands. This specific product contains both a sucralfate and copper-zinc complex as well. This cream is about $25 for a 3.3-ounce tube of product. If you take a look at Amazon, you’ll notice that it’s got close to a 5-star rating.

POST-PROCEDURE Cream – This product was literally created to help you heal after having a procedure done. Its job is quite simple. The objective is to soothe your skin, fight inflammation, and heal skin quickly. This cream, of course, contains the thermal water, copper-zinc complex, and the sucralfate as well. However, this specific cream contains far more thermal water than the other products. I believe it does to help better heal your skin. You can purchase this product for $32.00 for a 1.35oz product.

Third Party Reviews

Based on our reasearch, most of the reviews for this product line are actually pretty good. There are plenty of positive reviews that can be found which have been published on reputable sites.

If you’re looking to use this product to help improve a one-time or sporadic skin condition, then this might be for you. However, if you’re looking for something that can help improve recurring skin issues, then this may not be enough.

One of the things that many people had to say about this line is that many unauthorized sites and vendors are selling a product that they should not be. What this means is that the chances for more fake products to be on the market to be very high.

People have also complained that the Avene Cicalfate products are often too thick or too watery. They don’t like the consistency of them. Some consumers mentioned that the smell of the products was unpleasant, especially when purchased from distributors lacking the authorization to sell products.

If you’re buying these products from distributors, be sure that they are reputable and not some shady free yard sale listing on an eBay or something of that nature.

Where To Best Buy It?

Buying Avene Cicalfate products is pretty simple, especially if you’re living in the United States. All you need to do is head over to one of the many websites that sell this brand. There are many reputable sites that you can buy this product line at. I like to suggest that people purchase this on Amazon.com over any other online retailer.

There’s a reason for this that you need to know about. The reviews are pretty legit on Amazon and the return policy is solid as it gets. Steer clear from eBay and Backpage because you’ll get nothing other than fake or expired products. Don’t even think about taking that route.

Side Effects

Some people have actually complained about their skin becoming irritated. Others have said that the product only soothes and doesn’t necessarily repair as it should. Meaning, it’s more of a short term solution versus a long term fix. I don’t have much to say about that, other than the fact that we like great results and nothing more.
