It’s May 15, 2018 and if you don’t know by now, people are all about taking the natural or organic route in everything. I don’t know why, but it’s a trend that’s not going away anytime soon. In fact, there are some people out there who are opting to trade in all their anti aging lotions and creams for fruit!
Yes, you heard that correctly, I said fruit!
Is it possible that a bowl of fruit can really help improve the condition of your skin? Perhaps! Researchers and scientists have been investigating this trend for years. In doing so, they’ve been able to discover taht women who put in the time and effort to consume fresh veggies and fruits actually end up with less wrinkles when they reach age 50 versus those eating unhealthy foods.
The strange thing is, it might only be helpful for women, not men. Sorry guys, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try and eat a well-balanced diet either. In fact, I cannot think of any reason why someone wouldn’t want to eat a healthy diet daily. There are so many benefits in doing so, it’s really mind-boggling that some people eat so unhealthy.
Another fun fact discovered is one that women are not going to like, especially the bread lovers and carnivores. According to an article, women who consume red meat, bread, and sweets ended up with more wrinkles than those who did not.
Believe it or not, the same study concluded that eating healthy snacks such as fruits were a cheaper and perhaps healthier alternative to using anti aging creams and lotions.
Now, does that mean women are going to stop buying anti aging skin care products?
Heck no! Not a chance!
In fact, hundreds of millions of dollars are spent each year just on anti aging skin care products alone. If we start to consider the serums, toners, moisturizers and everything else, it quickly turns into billions.
Also, Botox use has increased over time and it continues to do so each year. Now, if you’re wondering where I gathered all these facts, they were published in an article recently and ended up in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.
I guess my point is quite simple here today and it all boils down to this…
If you want to look younger and feel good about yourself, then treat your body with respect. That means eating healthy foods, avoiding alcohol, exercising daily, and keeping a positive mindset towards life and general. If you want to look older than your actual age, then don’t take care of yourself. Eat crappy foods, be lazy, have a negative mindset and no one wins.
It’s that simple – REALLY.
Now, I’m not telling you to stop buying skin care products and anti aging remedies. However, I am telling you that you must take the time to put in the work one way or another if you want to look younger than your actual age. There are no simple shortcuts here. Garbage in, garbage out. Simple as that.
