So, What Causes Adult Acne To Form?
Acne is annoying, ugly, embarrassing, and a pain in the butt to have to deal with. Most of the time, it happens when you need it to not happen and it often comes out of nowhere. Rather than just sit here and complain about acne, I’ll give you some insight as to why it forms and then how to get rid of it.
There is some bad news that I have to share with you. Sometimes it literally has nothing to do with you or things that you can change. In fact, it’s quite possible that adult acne develops due to an inherent trait that one has. If you unfortunately inherent that trait, then you’re out of luck. There are other things that cause adult acne to form. Sometimes it’s simply the type of skin that you have. It could be that you have oily skin or dry skin or sensitive skin, all which may make you more prone to developing adult acne versus others.
Now, I’ve got some good news for you. There are small daily habits that you can break if you want to reduce the chances of developing adult acne. Did I mention that it’s a treatable condition too? You guessed it! It’s 100% treatable and avoidable for most people.
The first thing you can do is stop touching your face so frequently. Think of how gross your hands are and how many germs they have on them. They’re disgusting, period.
The next thing that you can do is start changing your sheets on a regular basis. I don’t care whether you shower right before bed or not, you need to change your sheets on a regular basis. If not, you’ll end up laying your head on dirty sheets and eventually dealing with adult acne issues.
If you’re shaving your face and using the wrong tools, then you’re putting your skin at risk. The wrong tools can and will irritate your skin and often cause acne issues. Multi-blade razors can destroy your skin due to build up of grime and dirt. That right there causes pimples to form.
Put the caffeine and alcohol down if you want to avoid pimples popping up as an adult. Drink water instead, your skin will be better hydrated and it will make a huge difference.
If you’re working out regularly then awesome! But if you’re not taking precautions and washing your face immediately after your workout. Shower after workouts and use a good cleanser, not just a cheap bar of soap.
The bottom line is quite simple. All you need to do is cleanse, tone, moisturize, and exfoliate. Doing that will help kick adult acne’s butt and you’ll look as well as feel 100% better!
Do we have any product recommendations for you? Of course, we do! In fact, we’ve covered a ton of products and even ranked some as the best when it comes of skin care and anti aging in general.
