Guess what, if you’re eating like crap and your face looks like crap then there may be a connection! More than likely it has something to do with sugar consumption and other types of foods that are bad for you. Typical foods today often consist of terrible jam-packed sugary substances and they need to be avoided at all costs, please!
Our bodies were not built to handle all the sugar that we consume today. Most of the foods that we eat which contain sugar often cause inflammation in our skin. Sugar also helps bacteria stay alive and strive. In fact, it’s fueling the problem and you’re going to want to avoid it entirely if possible. Start by cutting out simple sugars in coffee and sweets. This should help you improve your acne for sure.
Stop Scrubbing So Much
I know your master plan, you head right to the bathroom and start exfoliating like crazy whenever something comes along and pops up on your skin. In theory, the activity sounds like a great idea but really, it’s not a good idea at all. Exfoliating too much can contribute to your adult acne. If you’re producing too much oil and you begin exfoliating a ton, it’s more than likely going to increase the oil production. Removing too much oil only causes your body to fight back and produce more.
Honestly, if you’re battling adult acne, the best thing for you to do is to speak with a dermatologist that has dealt with this issue before. Another thing that you’ll want to consider is using a product that contains SPF and maybe even some anti-scarring serum or lotion to keep your acne from scarring. If you’re applying makeup daily, be sure to keep your makeup tools clean and bacteria free at all times!
