Guess what I like, strange brand names. You know the ones that are hard to remember. Well to me, 111Skin is one of those brands. it’s a strange brand with a strange background. In fact, the brand launch didn’t even get its inspiration from anything on earth. Yes, you heard that correctly! The brand was actually created by some plastic surgeon that took the bull by the horns and did a lot of research on aging in space. I know, it’s not something that most of us have to deal with (not yet at least). The plastic surgeon has actually played a prominent role in studying aging in space and that’s one of the reasons that he started this product line.
Don’t shun the brand or the doctor behind it until you hear the background story of it all. In fact, let me share some background information on the doctor before I dive into the product line.
About The Doctor Behind 111Skin
The doctor in charge of creating this brand is none other than Dr. Yannis Alexandrides. He kicked off his career as a plastic surgeon who eventually began to get really upset and frustrated with the lack of options for healing skin after completing cosmetic procedures. He took things further than most plastic surgeons, testing the skin and attempting to protect it at the most extreme environments out there.
That’s how he got started and he eventually ended up creating his own treatments and formulas to sell. With scientists that monitor the impact of skin in space, he developed the NAC Y2 formula. This is a formula that was created with the purpose of being able to reverse aging in space, seriously. The formula is literally available to the public now and can be found online in various products.
111Skin Product Lines
The 111Skin brand has expanded it’s range of products and even created different lines to cater to those with various skin conditions. Some of the lines which they’ve created are Reparative, Clarity, Prescriptive, Intensive, and Treatment lines. These are all collections which contain a number of different types of products. Things such as serums, masks, moisturizers, toners, supplements and more.
This brand puts a strong emphasis on treatment more so than anything. They incorporate chemicals as well as botanicals to help improve the condition of your skin.
The Most Popular Product
Looking for the most popular 111Skin product? Then you’ll want to know about the Y Theorem Repair Serum. This was the very first product aka the pilot product that started it all! Of course, the product contains the NAC Y2 formula which was formulated to heal damaged and aged skin. It also contains a ton of different ingredients which have been known to help treat skin that’s aged too quickly.
The Other Products
The next type of product which I’d consider the most popular are the masks. These masks come in a wide variety too. You’ll find a wide range of masks – various types to be exact. For example, you’ll find lip masks, eye masks, overnight masks, the infamous sheet mask, and even masks which require numerous steps. Each of the masks has been created to target very specific skin issues.
They’ve got one called the Meso Infusion Lip Mask and Plumping Duo. This costs more than $100 and it’s meant to help increase the plumpness and volume of your lips all through something called mesotherapy. It’s know to both plump and repair your skin. Similar to how the Seductiva product works.
Another mask is called the Rose Gold Brightening Facial Treatment Mask which is a sheet mask that’s supposed to help brighten and boost hydration levels. It also works to improve skin tone issues such as uneven skin.
They offer antioxidant supplements too which were provided to astronauts while in extreme conditions. The supplement is called the Radiant Skin Beauty supplement and consuming it helps boost Glutathione levels.
There are lots of other types of products which can be seen on the company website.
One interesting thing that I noticed about this brand was that they did not have much of a presence on Amazon. In fact, the presence in which they did have wasn’t great. What I mean by that is that the number of customer reviews was low for most products and the ratings were pretty low as well. In fact, they only had four reviews listed here. That’s pretty crazy in my opinion!
Now, on the other hand, after doing a quick search onine, I was able to determine that this company has a huge presence across major department stores. I’m talking Nordstrom, Barney’s, Bloomingdales, and even online retailers like QVC and Dermstore.com.
What’s It Cost?
Unless you have deep pockets and a budget set aside for skin care products, then you’re likely going to be out of luck here. The cost of this is pretty expensive, but buyers seem to still flock to it. Based on my research most of the products cost roughly $80 – $300 depending on what you are buying. Now, you’re probably wondering whether or not this is actually worth it? Well, I’d say based on my research it might be worth a shot if you have the funds to try them out.
Breakdown By Concerns
I like how the brand takes the time to break down the products based on concerns. For example, they’ve covered the following concerns on their corporate site. Things such as acne, hyperpigmentation, firmness issues, pollution, sun protection, dehydrated skin, wrinkles and lines and more.
Looking to contact the company? They make it easy to identify the company behind this brand. All the information you need is listed below:
111SKIN Ltd | Registration 07280293 | VAT GB 129341911
1 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6HH United Kingdom | 0344 692 1112
Speaking of contacting them, they have a contact us page which displays phone numbers and email addresses which cater to all your needs.
Would I suggest that someone try it? I personally would, assuming they have the funds to do so. I mean, the brand has been featured in Vogue, Elle, Harrods, Tatler, Harper’s Bazaar and more. That in itself speaks volumes with regards to the company and their brand recognition. My guess is that the products are quite stellar and worth trying. If you’ve got the money, give one a shot.
What’s the worse thing that can happen?
Actually, strike that, if you do buy them and you open the product, then you own it. They only accept returns on products that are unopended and returned within seven days. Keep that in mind!
