Firming Area around Your Eye
First, you need to understand the difference between "firming" and "instant lift". Firming is meant to make the skin less saggy and more elastic. The instant lift products employ chemicals which pull at the skin surface, temporarily firming it up. Firming might be something to consider for the eyes since the skin under the eye is particularly thin and tends to sag easily. As with almost anything, it's much easier to prevent sagging of the eyes than it is to prevent it.
One helpful firming routing is to freeze green tea into ice cubes. At the beginning of your cleansing regimen, you can apply one of the ice cubes to your eyes. Both the cold and the tea's ingredients help to tone the underlying blood vessels.
There are some chemically based products on the market that claim to lift and firm. Don't just believe the "face-lift in a jar" hype. Make sure that you have checked with reliable sources to make sure that the manufacturers of the product are not just taking your money. Dermatologists are a good source.
Correct Application of Products
If you want the active ingredients to penetrate the eye area so that they are most effective, it's important to properly apply the product. It's important to apply the product just under the eyes up to the edge of the bone. Do not apply eye products to the eyelids! Eye motion alone will be enough to distribute the cream to the entire eye area.
